You know, and so my job was to clean these 7 floors between Friday, and Sunday.

So, every time I would go to the 7th floor was the CEO's office, so I would bust in like I was the CEO, I'm dreaming like I'm the CEO now and who would have ever thought I've been blessed.

7階が CEO のオフィスだったんですが、そこに行く度、まるで自分が CEO かのように入っていって。夢みたいでしょう、今僕が CEOで…僕が恵まれていたなんて、誰が思ったでしょう？

And here I am.

I am the CEO of my own company.

自分の会社の CEO です。

Well, I think that the number one thing is you have to have a very clear vision.

一番は、すごく明確なビジョンを持っていないといけないと思います。

A very clear goal of where you want to go.

どこへ向かいたいのか、すごく明確なゴールをね。

Because only then you will get there.

そうしてこそ、そこにたどり着けるのですから。

You can have the best airplane or the best ship in the world. But if the captain doesn't know where to go, he will just drift around.

世界最高の飛行機や船を持っていても、キャプテンが行き先を知らなかったら、ただ浮遊するだけでしょう。

If the pilot does not know where to go, he will just drift around with his plane.

パイロットが行き先を分かっていなければ、飛行機で飛び回るだけです。

So it's, uh, I think the key thing is that we know where we're going, and that you're very passionate about that...you see it always in front of you, the goal.

重要なのは、どこへ向かっているのか知ること、それについて、すごく情熱を持っていること…ゴールを、常に自分の前に見ることだと思います。

To thrive in whatever you do, please understand your terrain, know what your target is.

やっていることが何であれ、上手くいくためには、自分の道を理解し、目標を知ってください。

Don't guess it.

推測しないことです。

Be as clued-up as the next man because that's, that's, that's your petrol, that's your fuel to get you moving.

誰にも劣らないくらい、熟知しておくことです。それが、あなたを動かす燃料になるのですから。

If you don't know where you're going, what your targets are, you're never gonna get there, period.

自分がどこに向かっているのか、目標が何なのか分かっていなければ、そこには到達しません。それだけです。

The other thing that's important is you got to shoot for the top.

もう1つ大事なのは、トップを目指すことです。

You got to go, and really have big goals and think big because then you're gonna get big, then you'e gonna go and achieve big things.

大きな目標を持って、大きく考えないといけません。そうすれば、ビッグになれて、大きなことを成し遂げられるからです。

That is the most important thing and, you don't achieve big things by accident.

それが一番大事なことです。偶然、大きなことを成し遂げるなんてありません。

I have to tell each and every one of you that it doesn't matter how old you are, how young you are, your age, you can achieve anything that you set your mind to, and I always say if I can do it anyone can do it.

皆さんにお伝えしないといけないのは、あなたが何歳か、若さ、年齢なんて関係ありません。心を決めれば、何だって達成できます。いつも言っているんですが、私ができるなら、誰だってできるんです。

If you think that you're gonna go, and accomplish something really special, and be the best in anything in the world and you think you can do it without working, you make a big mistake.

何か特別なことを達成しようと思うなら、何かにおいて、世界一になろうと思うなら、そして苦労せずにそれをできると思うなら、大きな間違いです。

Because no matter what I did, if it wasn't in bodybuilding or in acting or if it isn't in the political arena, it always took a lot a lot of work.

And you got to put out, and you got to you know, sometimes it's going to take a lot of sacrifices.

Competition is the easy part.

Behind the scens is where all the work is done, and everything is done to get to that one race that you need to run.

I always question myself in the best of times, even when I was well number one for many many weeks, and month in a row, at certain times during the year I said "what can I improve?", "what do I need to change?"

最高の状態の時でも、何週間も何ヶ月も、連続して1位の状態にあった時でも、1年のうちのある時点で、常に自分に問いかけます。「何を改善できる？」「何を変えないといけない？」

because if you don't do anything or you just do the same thing over and over again, you stay the same, and staying the same means going backwards, because the other guys, are working harder, and improving, so I always need to find ways to improve my game as well.
