    • He's on the the chair behind me can't really see him here hold on there he is yep he's gonna start licking his butt now of course he and his sister Sadie came here from Michigan they road tripped the whole way here obviously they didn't drive themselves someone else drove them but they got here we got introduced we spent some time together and to help Finn get to the new situation we decided that I would hold on to Sadie for a couple days also wondering hey Sadie don't no not right now please I'm doing things oh my goodness that's what she has to say about that we got one normal day together normal ish because we're still getting to know each other but then the day it was insane I only took one quick video during the day but and you can kind of tell in the video how crazy the wind is but like it was so strong it tore the gutter off of the house it was so wild I'm sure poor Finn and Sadie were like what is happening around 6 p.m. power goes out so I grabbed the dogs we sit on the couch light some candles and I just try and find information about what's going on at that time fires were already started and moving fast and it was it was tough because I didn't have cell service so it was a little a little scary and then shortly after that Teresa let me know that in her area they were doing mandatory evacuations and so just to be safe she was like I'm gonna come and get you we'll take the dogs we'll go somewhere she comes she pulls into the driveway jumps out of the car and screams the fires coming over the mountain I'm like what and I grabbed the dogs grab some of our things throw it in the car and we get a little ways down the road and she says turn around and look and I have never gasped that hard in my life because the fire was right there moving so fast that is so scary I was shocked I had no idea it was that close so we drove for a while we didn't even know where we were driving to we just knew we had to get away from that area and we were able to find a motel that took big dogs and we just parked ourselves on the bed watch the news and communicated with friends and loved ones just try to get as much information as we could as to what was going on and just watching the horrific videos of of what was happening and I'm sure you've all seen it just people losing everything in their lives and it's just a such a terrifying fragile moment it really one of the things that really made me think of is just how fragile our lives are the next day we were able to go back to Teresa's and it was so close so close we found out that the next-door neighbor's garage had burned down a house a few doors down also burned down luckily the fire department was called when the neighbor's garage was on fire and there was a couple neighbors that were also in the area too and they all helped put out the the garage fire and then there were smaller fires starting around the different yards in the area and they all helped put them out and had they not done like been so fast it that would have been it thanks to the fire department and the people that were in that area they stop things from getting way worse than they could have and kept the damage really isolated which was thank goodness so over the following days it was a lot of like picking up the pieces trying to get new information hoping and praying things didn't get worse unfortunately during that time I found out that the person that was supposed to take Sadie their house burned down in the fire so now both Finn and Sadie are with me at least for the time being I love them they're so wonderful they're goofy and charismatic and they love each other so much and they're such a joy to have around and they added a lot of levity during this entire situation so it's it's actually been great but it has been chaotic to be sure yeah I wanted to make this video for a couple reasons I mean a I just want to let you guys know what was happening you've been really wonderful and sending me messages and texts and thank you so much it really means the world that so many people care and to see people coming together for this cause you know fighting all of this and you know rebuilding and helping one another I it's such a horrible thing but to see people come together that's that's what really matters it's not a time to be divisive it's not a time to point fingers and hate each other it's a time to come together and thank you to all of those that do and to all those that care I just also wanted to say that during this time it's been really hard to work and that new videos might be a little far a few and far between in the coming weeks I'm doing my best I'm trying it's just it's been a lot and now with the Santa Ana winds ramping up again we just we don't know if it's gonna get worse again we have to stay on alert hopefully not fingers crossed I was gonna say to if you so desire there's lots of places that you can donate to like the Red Cross or the Humane Society things like that I'll put some links down below to different places that are helping the area and helping people in need with water shelter pets whatever it might be even if just a couple bucks it can help people that are in need right now again thank you so much for caring and understanding and reaching out really really does mean a lot so yeah take care of one another love one another bye-bye

    • So this is the building where the plane has crashed behind this building just 100 meters away from here. Nearly one o'clock the plane has crashed and that time most of the students were in the classroom and I have spoken to one of the eyewitness who told me the time when the plane has crashed that time one of his friend has died and he was in front of him and what he has saw that hundreds of the primary students were inside the classroom and 10 to 15 guardians were waiting outside and the plane collapsed on top of them so he expect he presumed that most of them have died but the number is not disclosed yet and this is there are also a residential building where many students used to live so their situation is also unknown. The parents and guardians are waiting outside anxiously and waiting. What we have seen at this moment the ambulance have come in and going out with lots of casualties. There are few hospitals around the sites and they also admitted there. The security forces, army, navy and air forces along with the fire service and other security forces has started the rescue operations so the site is totally cordoned people cannot get inside so the parents and the guardians are waiting outside to know what's happened to their loved one. Really awful scene there with the parents and families down at the school trying to figure out what's happened and whether or not their children are injured or have survived this. Let's take you to our correspondent Yigita Lamai who joins us from Mumbai monitoring events. We're keeping across what's happening in Dhaka on the ground but so many questions here Yigita. What is the government and the air force saying about what happened? Lucy we've now heard from a spokesperson for Bangladesh's military services and they've said they've confirmed that this was a plane this was a jet from Bangladesh's air force they say it was on a training mission. They've said that it suffered mechanical failure shortly after takeoff details of that they will give once an investigation is carried out. They say that the pilot in the aircraft did try to steer the aircraft away to a less densely populated area but wasn't able to do so in time and it hit a two-story building in that school campus. They've also said that they've had helicopters in operation they're trying to take the injured to hospitals as quickly as possible. We've also heard from the chief of Bangladesh's fire department who says that the building that was hit it was a two-story building it housed classrooms for second and fourth grade students and he says that lessons had ended but that students were still there teachers were still there and some parents or people who'd come up come to pick up their kids were also still there. We've also heard from eyewitnesses one of them saying that they were standing near the gate of the school when they heard this loud explosion and when they looked they only saw fire and smoke their children had managed to come out so the parents took the children and rushed away as fast as possible but the visuals we are seeing are of firefighters struggling to try to control that blaze they've been using big hoses shooting jets of water at the blaze and of course rescue operations still ongoing. So if they're ongoing does that mean that we don't know whether everyone has been accounted for yet or not are there still potentially parents there who don't know what to happen to their children? Well so we've got some numbers from the Bangladesh government and at the moment it's 19 dead and more than 160 injured we do not know yet if that is the total that you know that accounts for all of the people who were there if lessons had just ended you know there would have been people there would have been parents as well who'd come to pick their kids up so these are details which will emerge over the next few hours. We've seen here in India when we had that air crash in Ahmedabad especially you know when there's been an explosion and a fire how much time it actually takes to not just know what the death toll is especially of the people on the ground but even to identify the bodies of those dead you know if they're in a condition where they cannot be identified by looking at them then there will have to be forensic and
