played the role of the playboy Barney Stinson for the entire run of How I Met Your Mother.

Afterward, the actor would continue to do numerous television roles, commercials and

online videos like Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.

From 2010 to 2015, Harris would voice Dr. Blowhole in The Penguins of Madagascar TV

series - in 2016, played Count Olaf in A Series of Unfortunate Events and will be in the 2017

movie Downsizing with Matt Damon.

Cobie Smulders - Robin Scherbatsky Canadian native, Cobie Smulders played Robin

Scherbatsky in the show and has since gone on to find some major roles in large Hollywood

productions you may have heard of - she's Maria Hill in Captain America: Winter Soldier,

and appeared in The Avengers, The Avengers: Age of Ultron and ABC's Agents of Shield.

Smulders has also done some smaller roles on television like playing Leigh Ostin in

The L Word.

Jason Segel - Marshall Eriksen Ever since Jason Segel played Marshal Eriksen,

he rocketed into a-list status.

Mostly staying out of television acting, he pursued the big screen - starring in movies

such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall, I Love You, Man and The Muppets.

He would star opposite of Cameron Diaz in Sex Tape in 2014, and has a movie coming out

in 2017 called The Discovery.

The LA Times reported in August of 2016 that he sold his Los Feliz home for $1.525 million,

but not to downsize - but instead, purchased a $2.25 million home in the same neighborhood.

Alyson Hannigan - Lily Aldrin Unlike most of her How I Met Your Mother co-stars,

Alyson Hannigan had a pretty impressive resume before landing her role as Lily Aldrin, playing

Willow in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Michelle Flaherty in the American Pie movies.

After the show's end, she mostly focused on being a mother for her two daughters, Satyana

and Keeva, and is married to her fellow Buffy costar Alexis Denisof, but today you can see

her as the host of Penn and Teller: Fool Us.

Josh Radnor - Ted Mosby Focusing more on directing after the end of

How I Met Your Mother, Josh Radnor, the man behind Ted Mosby, directed the film Happythankyoumoreplease,

which happened to win the Sundance Film Festival Audience Award back in 2010.

Later in 2012 he would direct and co-star opposite of Elizabeth Olsen in Liberal Arts.

Earlier in 2016 he appeared in Mercy Street as Dr. Jedediah Foster, and in an interview

with FightTheNewDrug.org, Radnor spoke out heavily on pornography and the harmful psychological

side effects of the addiction.
