Somebody, when you started-- when I said your name, they were like, oh I love his voice, it gives me chills. And your voice is just so beautiful. Thank you. So I'm glad you're back. Thank you. You've been gone. So you won an Oscar for the Bond song. Yes. And then you just went away. What happened? I-- it all got a bit too much. After the Oscar, I just really needed to hug my mom and just be with my sisters and go back home and a lot of mom snuggles and, and yeah. I've made this record now, so [INAUDIBLE].. So the night of the Oscars, I didn't realize something weird happened, but I guess something weird happened that you said something onstage and it-- It all started with a hip flask. Basically, I-- I basically-- A hip flask? Of tequila that I had in my-- Oh. It's how it all starts, everybody. I-- I-- basically, I wasn't happy with my performance. And we thought we had no chance of winning at all. So I was just like, let's just get the party started and let's have some fun, have a little hip flask, having some tequilas, warming up. And then we won. And I was just like, whoa. And I went up and I just-- I mucked up my speech. And I forgot to say best male actor. I basically said that I was the first gay person to ever win an Oscar. And I obviously know I'm not. Yeah. But my brain and my mouth didn't work together. Right. Yeah, I mucked up. I didn't realize-- I didn't even remember that you said you were the first gay man to ever receive an Oscar? Yes. Oh my god. Well, afterwards, I saw Elton John at the after party and he was like, I've won an Oscar. [LAUGHTER] I was like, I'm sorry. Yeah. I was young when you won your Oscar. Right. I'm joking. Yeah, one two punch. So you took some time off. And you said that you needed to-- because you write all of your own music which is really a beautiful thing and they're all beautiful songs. So you said you had to go away and kiss more boys. And so how many did you kiss? Hundreds. OK, good. Hundreds and hundreds. Good, so you had fun. No, not that many, but I did-- I did kiss a few men-- Mhm. --and ran around the streets of London, had a good time. I kind of got back to normal life [INAUDIBLE].. And then you can write songs. You have to live a normal life in order to write songs. Yeah, for em I do because it's-- my music is about love. And it's important to just take that time to allow your heart to have it a little bit. Yes, you deserve that. And hopefully you're not single right now anymore, right? No, I'm not. Good. Good for you. Which is crazy. When I brought-- Yeah-- [APPLAUSE] You found somebody? Yeah, when-- well, it's weird bringing out an album and not being single. Yeah. Because when I brought out In the Lonely Hour, I was so lonely. But now I'm-- I'm singing songs about this-- another guy, but I'm quite happy. So it's quite weird. Yeah, and-- so that guy, whoever he is, is going to make you even more famous again because that's what happens. That's-- No, he's-- Does he know who he is, the one that you are writing about? Yeah, there's only like four or five songs about him on there so the rest are about other people. Oh, OK. Well, next time you're here, you'll tell us who they-- they're all about. A song for every boy. Yeah.
