These are a great way to make your English sound more natural and to emphasize what you are saying.

これで、あなたの英語がもっと自然に聞こえるようになり、言っていることを強調できます。

So, a comparative is a word like "hotter, bigger, faster, stronger, more expensive, less interesting".

比較級というのは、"hotter, bigger, faster, stronger, more expensive, less interesting"などの単語です。

So a repeated comparative is when we say the comparative 2 times.

比較級を繰り返すというのは、比較級を 2 回言うことです。

Look at this example.

例を見てみましょう。

The weather is getting hotter.

暑くなってきている。

The weather is getting hotter and hotter.

ますます暑くなってきている。

Both are okay.

両方とも良いですが、

But the second sentence is stronger.

2 文目の方が強い言い方です。

It is emphasizing more and more and more.

もっと、もっと、もっと強調しています。

Look at a few more examples.

もう少し例を見てみましょう。

The boy is getting taller and taller.

その男の子は、どんどん背が高くなっている。

If you exercise, you will get stronger and stronger.

運動すれば、ますます強くなれる。

This company is getting better and better.

この会社は、ますます良くなっている。

My health is getting worse and worse.

私の健康は、どんどん悪くなっている。

When you are using "more/less + adjective" it is a little different.

「more または less + 形容詞」の形を使う時は、少し変わります。

Look at a few examples.

少し例を見てみましょう。

Gas prices are getting more and more expensive.

ガソリン価格がどんどん高くなっている。

These books are getting less and less interesting.

これらの本は、どんどん面白くなくなっていく。

The actress is becoming more and more beautiful every day.

その女優は、日々どんどん美しくなっている。

Notice we just repeat the "more/less" part.

繰り返すのは、"more" または "less" の部分だけです。

You only say the adjective one time.

形容詞は一度しか言いません。

It's because the adjective is very long in these sentences, so we don't want to say it more than once.

こういった文では、形容詞が非常に長いため、一度以上言いたくないからですね。
