Hi Benson! I’m new here too!
I’m going to try briefly talk about today’s topic for my everyday practice:)
=======
There are three things I actively do when I talk to new people.
1, Behave politely.
2, Smile naturally and speak calmly.
3, Enjoy conversation without overthinking.
No one get offended by being polite, a smile brings people closer together, and most importantly, to enjoy yourself.
Besides, there is one thing I try not to do when I talk to new people is to make the other person uncomfortable.
When there is an awkward silence, some people get rush in order to break the silence, and ask questions that are too personal, I know it feel but I try not to do that.
There's a fine line between friendly and overly friendly.
Though talking to new people can be a bit nervous even as an adult, but I actually don't hate this kind of comfortable feeling of tension so much.
