字幕表 動画を再生する 英語字幕をプリント It goes without saying that no one can replace Michael Jackson on the pop stage. His style was extraordinary and carved a deep track on the career paths of his admirers. Still, it is hard to ignore how much Bruno Mars resembles the King of Pop. Bruno Mars surely tops the music charts, having won 11 Grammy Awards by the time he was 32. Find out in our video why Bruno Mars has so much in common with Michael Jackson! It's well known that Michael Jackson started his career with Jackson 5 -the band started by his elder brothers. But few know that Bruno's family is just as big and no less talented. When he was only 4, Bruno performed with his parents in the band, The Love Notes, at Waikiki beach. His father was a drummer and his mother a delightful singer and dancer. No wonder that after growing up in a creative family, Bruno Mars has chosen to become an artist. Even though his family band didn't become a nationwide success like Jackson 5, his parents molded Bruno to love music. Michael Jackson first appeared on stage at the age of 13. But Bruno was even younger. As a 4-year-old, he'd stolen the hearts of audiences by performing Elvis Presley impersonations. Actually, Mars was so good in his role that he had a cameo in one of the episodes in 1992's Honeymoon in Vegas, performing together with Sarah Jessica Parker and Nicolas Cage. Bruno became a talented impersonator of James Brown and, as you guessed it, Michael Jackson. It's a sure thing that he was inspired by these exact images. Michael Jackson's performance at halftime in 1992 was one of the most memorable in the history of NFL. Bruno Mars performed at the Super Bowl twice. In 2014, he blew the crowd away with his band, The Hooligans. In 2016, he joined Beyoncé, who by the way wore a Michael-inspired outfit, for an amazing performance next to Coldplay. A great success for such a young artist! You will never confuse Michael's falsetto with any other voice. Except, perhaps Bruno's! There are a couple of noticeable similarities in their voices. They both have a high tenor range. And neither have trouble tearing up and down the scales. If you don't believe us, trust your own ears and listen to Bruno's cover of "The Way You Make Me Feel". In fact, they both have their own unique traits that they put not only into their music, but also into their style and dancing. Bruno Mars took a lot of inspiration from the King of Pop's sense of fashion. It's bright and motley, full of metallic shine, leather and sequins. Bruno keeps true to Michael's legacy, but still adds some original details. As Mars once said, his music idols always paid much attention to the details, that's the secret to success. Just take a look at these hats! Pretty much the same ones, don't you think? We hope Bruno will yet perform some iconic moves such as Michael's moonwalk, but there's no doubt he's got the soul for his own moves! Plus, some of the choreography in his music videos echoes a bit of Jackson's moves such as the “Bad”-like shuffle he does in "Uptown Funk." Following heroes doesn't mean copying them. Bruno Mars partly absorbed the King of Pop's style in music and dancing, but he still adds something special to it. Did you notice any other similarities between Bruno and Michael?
