Early one morning the wind blew a spider across the field.

ある早朝、風が蜘蛛を野原に吹き飛ばした。

A thin, silky thread trailed from her body.

絹のような細い糸が、彼女の体から流れ出ていた。

The spider landed on a fence post near a farm yard…

農場の庭の近くの柵の支柱にクモが着地した...

and began to spin with her silky thread.

と、彼女の絹のような糸で紡ぎ始めました。

“Neigh! Neigh!” said the horse. “Want to go for a ride?”

"Neigh!ニャー！」と馬は言った。"乗馬に行きたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった

“Moo! Moo!” said the cow. “Want to eat some grass?”

"「モー！モー！」と牛が言った。モー！」と牛は言った。"草食うか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

“Baa! Baa!” bleated the sheep. “Want to run in the meadow?”

"バァー！バァー！」と羊の声がしました。"草原を走りたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は蜘蛛の巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった。

“Maa! Maa!” said the goat. “Want to jump on the rocks?”

"マー！マァ！」とヤギは言った。"岩の上に飛び乗りたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は蜘蛛の巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった。

“Oink! Oink!” grunted the pig. “Want to roll in the mud?”

"ウインク！"ウインク！"豚は呻きました。"泥の中で転がりたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は蜘蛛の巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった。

“Woof! Woof!” barked the dog. “Want to chase a cat?”

"ウーッ！ウーフ！」と犬は吠えた。"猫を追いかけたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった

“Meow! Meow!” cried the cat. “Want to take a nap?”

"ニャー！ニャー！"と猫が鳴いた。ニャー！」と猫が鳴いた。"お昼寝する？"

The spider didn’t answer. She was very busy spinning her web.

クモは答えなかった彼女は巣を紡ぐのに忙しかった

“Quack! Quack!” called the duck. “Want to go for a swim?”

"Quack!"クワック！"とアヒルを呼んだ。"泳ぎに行きたいか？"

The spider didn’t answer. She had now finished her web.

蜘蛛は答えなかった。彼女は今、自分の巣を完成させていた。

“Cock-a-doodle do!” crowed the rooster. “Want to catch a pesty fly?”

"コック・ア・ドゥ・ドゥ！"と雄鶏は叫んだ。"厄介なハエを捕まえたいか？"

And the spider caught the fly in her web…just like that!

そして、蜘蛛は彼女の巣にハエを捕らえた......そんな感じですね!

“Whoo? Whoo?” asked the owl. “Who built this beautiful web?”

"Whoo?ウー？」とフクロウは尋ねた。"誰がこの美しいウェブを作ったの？"

The spider didn’t answer. She had fallen asleep.

蜘蛛は答えなかった。彼女は眠ってしまっていた。

It had been a very, very busy day.

とても、とても、忙しい一日でした。
