Today, I'm gonna be making you kimchi fried rice and somaek, my favorite drink to drink while playing APT.

APT is the name of my single that just dropped and APT is actually a Korean drinking game that I love to play with my friends.

APTというのはドロップしたばかりの私のシングルの名前なんだけど、APTというのは実は私が友達とやるのが大好きな韓国の飲みゲームなんだ。

I'm so nervous.

とても緊張している。

In Korea, you call beer, maekju, so you mix the two words, so from soju and maek from maekju, so it's called somaek and it's just like a perfect combination between soju and beer.

韓国ではビールのことをメクジュと呼ぶので、ソジュからメク、メクジュからソメクと2つの単語をミックスして、ソメクと呼ばれる。

It just makes the beer a little more alcoholic, which we love.

ビールが少しアルコールっぽくなって、私たちはそれが好きなんだ。

And then I'm gonna make my favorite snack to have my somaek with.

それから、ソーマエクを食べるために大好きなスナックを作るんだ。

My friends are gonna laugh at me when they see this.

They're gonna be like, I can't believe that you showed the world how to make cheongyang mayo sauce with this pepper.

It's called cheongyang gochujang and then it's like the combination between that and mayo but then we have it with our dry squid and it's like really good, it's perfect.

And you just mix it like this and you do that.

So basically, we were hanging out in the studio and I was like, how about I teach you guys some drinking games, Korean drinking games and then I started doing it.

Games, I call out a number in my head as everyone's putting their hands in the middle and I say nine and everyone stacks their hand from bottom up, whoever's at the bottom is like one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, nine and whoever gets on top has to take the shot and I did it and they were obsessed with it.

And by the way, in the process of this, you should never touch your eyes.

You'll just be crying the whole night and so we were playing APT and the next day I was like, okay, today's the day.

I think we should write the song and we did but then I remember going home kind of freaked out.

曲を書くべきだと思って書いたんだけど、家に帰るとちょっとパニックになっていたのを覚えている。

I was like, is this okay that I've written like a song about like a drinking game?

飲み会のことを歌にしちゃっていいのかな？

Is this too unserious?

これは不真面目すぎるだろうか？

And so I like got all of the producers and songwriters to delete the song off of their phones.

それで、プロデューサーやソングライターのみんなに、携帯電話から曲を削除してもらったんだ。

For like a while, they had no idea what I'd be talking about.

I'd be like, oh, by the way, I played a few people APT and they were like, what song are you talking about?

And I was like, oh my God, I totally forgot.

I like to make the chili big but see, this is like only because I love spicy things.

I feel like most people would probably find it a bit too spicy.

I'm obsessed with cilantro and I put it with everything.

私はコリアンダーに夢中で、何にでも入れている。

This is gonna be so controversial cause I'm sure there's a lot of people who hate cilantro but I think I'm a bit weird though.

コリアンダーが嫌いな人はたくさんいると思うけど、私はちょっと変だと思う。

This is my own thing.

Last year, Bruno came to perform in Korea, in Seoul and my friend was like, do you wanna go watch Bruno Mars concert?

去年、ブルーノが韓国のソウルに公演に来たんだけど、僕の友達がブルーノ・マーズのコンサートを観に行かないかって言ったんだ。

And so ever since then, I was like, oh my God, I love Bruno Mars and I play his songs all the time.

Fast forward, somebody set up a meeting with him and I and I met him and I was like, I was fangirling so much.

He jumped on the song and he had all these crazy ideas for it.

I have like three other interviews today.

All you need is a whole chunk of kimchi, the good old Spam, gochujang, so chili paste, olive oil, eggs and rice.

Sugar, my mom told me not to put it in but it makes the whole thing so much better.

I was born in New Zealand and I moved to Australia when I was eight years old, took an open audition amongst a thousand other contestants who were dying to be a K-pop star.

To my absolutely surprise, they were like, you know, stop everything you're doing, can you fly to Korea in two months?

I trained for four years and then at the end of four years, I was 20 and I came out as Blackpink, wait, I guess 19 in American age.

Doing Blackpink for eight years and I'm still doing it but this year is the year of my album, so.

My album name is Rosie and it's called that because my friends and family call me Rosie.

私のアルバム名はロージーで、友人や家族からロージーと呼ばれているからそう呼ばれている。

As much as this album really is kind of a reflection of, I would say the past four years of my life and all the stories that I've had that I haven't ever really been able to show, all of that put into this album and I wanted everyone to feel like they were that much closer to me and so, that's why it's called Rosie.

このアルバムは、私の人生のこの4年間を反映したようなもので、今まで見せることができなかった物語をすべてこのアルバムに込めた。

I grew up eating really healthy, my mom would be like, she's kind of like a health freak and I was pretty good with whatever she gave me.

I think I kind of created this love for Spam over my training years.

I have to start a cooking show now.

So this morning I actually had my very first meeting.

It was offline and I was really shocked because that was the first time I was talking about the album coming out.

And to my surprise, I actually cried.

And I was like, why am I crying?

I always knew it is something very personal to me but it's been a long journey.

It hasn't been the easiest because in the process of me writing this album, I was trying to be independent.

I was out here trying to navigate this next chapter of my life.

And so whilst also really, really happy moments in the studio where I felt like I wouldn't wanna be anywhere else.

This is when I put a little bit of the kimchi thingy in.

And then I drizzle it a little bit of sugar.

I remember being in the studio when I recorded for the first time.

I was like, oh my God, I wanna do this for the rest of my life.

It was like my own personal therapy session, basically.

基本的には、私だけのセラピーセッションのようなものだった。

But I really cannot wait for my fans to listen to my music and feel that much closer to me because it really is like a lot of my personality that my friends and family know.

I'm feeling really nervous.
