My inspiration is definitely to do with the limitation and the constraint this apartment has.

私のインスピレーションは間違いなく、このアパートが持つ制限と制約に関係している。

And so I wanted to see if I can fit a big house into a small apartment.

I actually kept the layout pretty much as it is, including the internal walls and the plumbings.

実際、内壁や配管を含め、レイアウトはほとんどそのままにしてある。

The design of the living space revolves around how to create a living and home office in the same space.

リビングスペースのデザインは、リビングとホームオフィスを同じスペースにいかに作るかを中心に展開されている。

Spaces do need to appear and disappear when you need them to.

スペースは必要なときに現れたり消えたりする必要がある。

It even comes down to the furniture you pick needs to be flexible.

選ぶ家具にも柔軟性が求められる。

My lounge chair can converse from a lounging to an office chair.

私のラウンジチェアは、寝椅子からオフィスチェアまで対応できる。

And at night time that gets folds away and the TV reveals itself.

そして夜になると、そのテレビが姿を現す。

The dining space isn't something I use every day, and it's only special occasions when guests visit.

ダイニングスペースは毎日使うものではないし、お客さんが来た時だけ特別に使う。

So you can slice out to form a very comfortable dining space for four to six people.

そのため、スライスして4～6人用の快適なダイニングスペースを作ることができる。

The kitchen is definitely the feature.

キッチンは間違いなく特徴的だ。

It's four meters long, so you've got three meters of clear bench space.

長さが4メートルあるので、ベンチの空きスペースは3メートルある。

Everything is concealed.

すべてが隠されている。

A window is punched through between the bathroom and kitchen to borrow daylight from the bathroom area.

バスルームとキッチンの間に窓を開け、バスルームから日光を取り入れる。

The glass between the bathroom and the kitchen is a privacy film, and it's activated just by a press of a button.

バスルームとキッチンの間のガラスはプライバシーフィルムで、ボタンを押すだけで作動する。

This apartment doesn't have any outdoor space.

このアパートには屋外スペースがない。

I need to bring the sense of outdoor in here.

アウトドア感覚をここに持ち込む必要がある。

To achieve that I put a green wall on the bathroom.

そのためにバスルームにグリーンの壁を作った。

The moss is real moss being preserved.

コケは保存されている本物のコケである。

For me that's a backdrop for then to put real plants in front of it.

私にとっては、その前に本物の植物を置くための背景なんだ。

The shower, you're standing on the timber tiles and surrounded by green.

シャワーは木製のタイルの上に立ち、緑に囲まれている。

It kind of refreshes you.

リフレッシュできるんだ。

One material used in the living is the mirror for the cabinet doors and stuff, including the skirting.

リビングで使われている素材のひとつが、巾木を含むキャビネットの扉などに使われている鏡だ。

So that is used to give the illusion of extended bigger space.

そのため、より広い空間を拡張したように錯覚させるために使われている。

Designing small space is a very tailored way of designing, so everything needs to be carefully considered.

小さな空間をデザインすることは、とてもテーラーメイドな方法なので、すべてを注意深く考慮する必要がある。

You've got to know your lifestyle, so what's important for you.

自分のライフスタイルを知り、自分にとって何が重要かを知る必要がある。
