Have you ever watched a Disney Cartoon?
Disney, Disney, DISNEY DISNEY!
In case you don't know any movie, short film or anything from Disney,
your childhood sucked
Because Disney is life,
Disney is emotion,
Disney is AWESOME
Created by Walt Disney, or Valdisnei for Brazilians
Disney and every person that worked there had the
incredible skill to bring to life tales and stories.
I'm very lucky to have parents that worried about my education
and forced me to watch Disney.
I used to watch Disney almost every day
*me too* Really? *I swear* Woooow!
There were a lot of cartoons to watch
and even with so much to watch, I still had my favorites.
Who doesn't remember of Lion King?
*From the day we arrive on the planet
And blinking, step into the sun
There's more to see than can ever be seen
More to do than can ever be done*
People around the world repeated this scene.
*It's the circle of life
And it moves us all*
And many have also cried with this one.
*Dad, dad let's go. You have to get up!
Dad, we have to go home!*
And do you remember that damned Scar?
...That i thought it was Oscar.
*Life isn't fair, is it?
Well, listen...uh, I'll never be king...*
The wretch that killed Mufasa!
*Long live the King!*
And like me, i think you all know
all the songs by heart
Hakuna Matata
*Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase
Hakuna Matata! Ain't no passing craze
It means no worries for the rest of your days
It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Matata!*
*Oh, I just can't wait to be king!
No one saying do this, no one saying be there
No one saying stop that, no one saying see here
Now see here!*
*Can you feel the love tonight?
The peace the evening brings*
*Are you achin' YUP YUP YUP
For some bacon YUP YUP YUP
He's a big pig YUP YUP
You could be a big pig too, OY!*
And the movie about the 101 most cute puppies
*Get them, Thunderbolt. Behind him!
He'll get this horse thief. Thunderbolt is the
biggest dog in the world*
Do you remember Pongo?
*...and he's telling the story. My name is Pongo.*
And also, do you remember Cruella de Vil, Cruella de Vil?
*Cruella de Vil, Cruella de Vil
If she doesn't scare you, no evil thing will
To see her is to take a sudden chill!*
Disney most fashion villain.
*My only love. I adore furs, I love furs!*
And do you remember the chubby Nono?
*Mommy, I'm hungry, I'm hungry.
But Nono, you just ate.
But mommy, i'm so hungry, so hungry that
I could eat an Elephant*
And a song I still remember
*Kanine Krunchies can't be beat
They make each meal a special treat
Happy dogs are those who eat
Nutritious Kanine Krunchies*
And obviously i can't forget one of which I watched most:
Aladdin!
*Arabian nights like Arabian days
More often than not are hotter than hot
In a lot of good ways*
Imagine you having an aladdin lamp, and a
Genius that could grant any wish of yours
*You? Will grant me three wishes, is that it?
Yes, well, almost, there are some conditions,
some... limitations*
And also, the characters were really good
*Rajah was just playing with him, weren't you Rajah.
You were just playing with that overdressed,
self-absorbed Prince Achmed, weren't you?*
*Her mother wasn't nearly so picky*
*We'll never get that stupid lamp*
And we can't forget the villain, Jafar.
*My most trusted advisor. I am in desperate
need of your wisdom.
My life is but to serve you, my lord.*
The musics of Aladdin were really good, and easy to memorize
*One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke
Riffraff! Street rat! Scoundrel! Take that!
Just a little snack, guys*
*Mister Aladdin, sir, what will your pleasure be?
Let me take your order, jot it down
You ain't never had a friend like me
No no no, life is your restaurant
And I'm your maitre d'
C'mon whisper what it is you want
You ain't never had a friend like me*
*Prince Ali! Mighty is he!
Ali Ababwa, strong as ten regular men, definitely!
He faced the galloping hordes
A hundred bad guys with swords
Who sent those goons to their lords?
Was Prince Ali*
*A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view
No one to tell us no, or where to go
or say we're only dreaming*
Alright, this one is for girls, but I'm sure
a lot of grown men, like you, watched this
The Little Mermaid
*Ariel, wait for me . . .
Flounder, hurry up!*
With awesomely funny aquatic characters
*What?! Sharks?! Ariel!*
*This concert was to be the pinnacle of my distinguished career*
*Oh, Ariel, How many times must we go through this?*
*You got an aesthetically pleasing configuration of hair*
*When I find her I'll know - without a doubt. It'll just - bam! - hit me*
There was also that fat villain, do you remember her?
*She may be the key to Triton's undoing. . .*
You can now realize that every Disney cartoon had a
song that kept running though your head
*Up where they walk, up where they run
Up where they stay all day in the sun
Wanderin' free, wish I could be
Part of that world*
*Sha la la la la la my oh my
Look like the boy too shy ain't gonna kiss the girl
Sha la la la la la ain't that sad? Ain't it a shame?*
*Under the sea - Under the sea
When the sardine begin the beguine
It's music to me, what do they got? A lot of sand
We got a hot crustacean band. Each little clam here
know how to jam here under the sea*
Alright, I'll be honest. This one is the one I watched most
during my childhood.
Beauty and The Beast!
Where the prince is cursed and
transformed into a Beast.
*As punishment, she transformed him into a
hideous beast, and placed a powerful spell on
the castle, and all who lived there.*
Beauty and the Beast had the most handsome villain:
Gaston!
*Right from the moment when I met her, saw her
I said she's gorgeous and I fell, here in town there's only she
who is beautiful as me, so I'm making plans to woo and marry Belle*
And do you remember the characters that were talking furniture?
*Momma. There's a girl in the castle!
Now, Chip, I won't have you making up such wild stories.
*I know it's a girl.
Don't you see? She's the one. The girl we have been waiting for.
She has come to break the spell!*
*Let's see what I've got in my drawers.
Oh! How embarrassing.*
Look, I know all songs by heart. And It's true
I know them all.
Little town, it's a quiet village
*Every day like the one before
Little town full of little people
Waking up to say:
Bonjour! Bonjour! Bonjour! Bonjour! Bonjour!*
*No one's slick as Gaston, no one's quick as Gaston,
no one's neck's as incredibly thick as Gaston*
*We've got a lot to do, is it one lump or two
For you, our guest?
She's our guest - She's our guest - She's our guest*
*She glanced this way, I thought I saw
And when we touched she didn't shudder at my paw
No it can't be, I'll just ignore
But then she's never looked at me that way before*
*Bittersweet and strange
Finding you can change
Learning you were wrong*
*Through the mist
Through the woods
Through the darkness and the shadows
It's a nightmare but it's one exciting ride
Say a prayer, then we're there
At the drawbridge of a castle
And there's something truly terrible inside*
And of course, it had to have a Demigod.
The renowned Hercules!
*You're my one last hope
And, kid, it's up to you*
The son of Zeus that had a superhuman strength.
Who's that guy? Hercules!
*Who put the glad in gladiator?
Hercules!
Whose daring deeds are great theater?
Hercules!
Is he bold? No one braver
Is he sweet? Our fav'rite flavor
Hercules!*
Hercules has to fight Hades
*...or the entire scheme I've been setting up for 18 years
goes up in smoke and you are wearing his merchandise!*
Many people don't know, but a lot of tales and stories from Disney
were written by the Grimm brothers, two Germans that dedicated
themselves to writing children's stories.
And they got really famous for that. And it wasn't pointless.
They wrote Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs.
*Someday (someday) I'll be trully happy...*
The first animated movie of history!
Do you, perchance, know this phrase:
Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?
*Magic Mirror on the wall, who is the fairest one of all?*
In this story, you got to meet the 7 Dwarfs.
*We dig dig dig dig dig dig dig in our mine the whole day through
To dig dig dig dig dig dig dig is what we really like to do*
*Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho Heigh-ho
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho
It's home from work we go
Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho, Heigh-ho*
The Grimm brothers also wrote Cinderella
That one that forgets her shoe...
*Mademoiselle, Madam, one moment...*
That had those ugly and evil sisters
*You're a thief! My necklace! Give it back.
My belt, give me my belt! You thief, this is mine...*
And a bitchy stepmother
*Don't they look alike?* *Silence! I think you have plenty of time to...
I just wanted to say...
Quiet!*
And I bet you remember this song:
Cinderella, Cinderella...
*Cinderella, Cinderella
All I hear is Cinderella, from the moment I get up
till shades of night are falling*
*... Put 'em together and what have you got ...*
And also, they wrote classics such as Little Red Riding Hood
She needs to run from the Big Bad Wolf
That pretended to be her grandma
*Grandma, what big eyes you have!
The better to see you, my darling*
There was also Hansel and Gretel
The one with the house made of candy
Actually, it's now a tendency to transform
classic stories into movies.
The directors usually develop the plot
in a really creative way.
For example, Snow White and the Huntsman
There was also Alice in Wonderland, by Tim Burton
I don't know if you already know, but in January, 2013
a film about Hansel and Gretel is going to come out:
Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters
The film will tell the story about Hansel and Gretel
after they have grown up
And guess what, now they are witch hunters
And the actor that plays Hansel is the one
that played Hawkeye in the Avengers
I'm sure I'll watch, and I
recommend you do the same
And there was also...
Hey Hey Hey...
Who is it?
It's me, Mickey!
Mickey?! What are you doing here, in Nostalgia?
I'm here to remember you who's Disney's mascot, you loggerhead
Oh...you're right
So talk about me, and sorry for breaking into Nostalgia like this
Bye Bye
So, after this intimidation, I must talk about Mickey.
As he said, he is the mascot of Disney.
Do you remember Mickey and the Beanstalk?
*There are really smalls ones, and really big ones,
like in Jack and the Beanstalk. That one was really big...*
The tale was narrated by Ludwig Von Drake
*...magic beans. These beans are the same that I'm going
to imagine in the story I'm going to imagine now.*
Starring Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck
*I want to eat, I want to eat 'till I can't stand...*
*If we plant the beans in a full moon night, you know what is going to happen?*
Also starring, the Magic Harp
*Ooh, what a happy day
what a sunny sky, kinda makes me shy
in a happy way...*
And the Giant of the beanstalk
*He-Hi-Ho-Hum
Lots of stuff I can do*
Besides the movies, Disney had a
bunch of awesome shortfilms too,
do you remember the Three Little Pigs?
There was also the shortfilm about the Ugly Duckling,
do you remember it? It's a classic, man!
And who hasn't watched the renawned Goofy Tips?
*Now, hold tight. 1...2...3...4...*
Watching this, I learned how to work out,
*And 5, now raise it up!*
how to drive safely,
*When he grabs the steering wheel, something strange happens,
Sr. Walker is taken by the strong sensation of power, his personality
changes completely, and he becomes a monster, a diabolical driver*
and how to take pictures
*How about...how about portraits? That's it, photography!*
Well, of course there are a lot of other stories and movies
that I didn't mentioned here, but listen, there's no way to talk
about the whole Disney's history in a 20 minutes video.
Hey you, that's already thinking about cursing me an Fabio
for not talking about Toy Story, Finding Nemo, A Bug's Life,
but take it easy! Pixar deserves a Nostalgia just for it.
I'm sure Disney has been attendant in the lives of many people,
and has molded the character of many of you, who are watching this.
Well, all I have to say is thank you very much, Walt Disney and
Grimm Brothers for providing us beautiful stories.
I'll make sure my kid watches Disney, and you should do the same.
Present Disney to your kids.
This week's theme was suggested by...
Hang on Spongebob, I know you must be angry
'cause no one lets you talk, but Felipe invited me,
and there's nothing I can do.
Thanks to the humans: Rodrigo, Kami, Lucas, Nicolas, Luisa, Hanaah e Fábio.
Keep suggesting themes, just be careful in asking anything about Scar,
Simba doesn't like hearing his name.
Ah, don't forget to hit the like button. Do it, or I'll bite you hahaha just kidding.
Well, I'll leave now, me and Simba have to visit Timon and Pumbaa.
Bye bye!
*Things you don't want to know...OR DO YOU?*
