Eat Sleep Dreamers welcome to my top ten most difficult words to say for English learners.
Now I've chosen these ten words because during my eight years as a teacher these are the
ones that have caused my learners the most difficulty, the most pain, the most heartache
and the most tears and we can't let that happen anymore. So if you are ready, let's do this!
Today we're going to look at the word 'comfortable. Now this is an adjective that means a feeling
of being physically relaxed. For example we might describe a comfortable chair or a comfortable
pair of shoes. Now there are four syllables com for ta ble. Now the biggest mistake that
learners make is to give each syllable the same amount of stress. So if you want to say
it correctly give the first syllable the stress and no stress to the second syllable. Here's
an example 'comfortable'. Ok, let's put that into a sentence. 'This is a really comfortable
chair'. Alright, let's try another one 'These shoes are really comfortable'. Ok, that's
it for today. I'll be back with the rest of my top ten difficult words to say. If you
found this video useful, tell me in the comments below and if there are any words you find
difficult to say tell me about it and I'll try and help you. Alright guys, take care.
Bye bye.
