At least 320 cases and 15 deaths reported in the US alone.

And tonight AUSTIN, Texas, now canceling south by Southwest, the annual event drawing hundreds of thousands of people.

But we're gonna begin this second hour in one of the most troubling hot spots here in the country.

The Corona virus in Washington state, now reporting at least 15 deaths more than any other state in the country.

And most of those cases coming from the life care nursing home we are now hearing tonight from someone inside that nursing home describing what it's like to be trapped inside a B C's Kaylee Hartung from Washington State.

It's a lot quieter around Seattle, since the state of Washington has become the front line of the Corona virus.

As the death toll climbed, the facility went into isolation in an effort to contain the virus.

Family members say the flow of information slowed as well.

On Monday, I ran into Colin Mallory, taking matters into her own hands, going to see my mom.

We haven't heard much from the facility about her, so we just want to make sure that she's okay.

I'm gonna bring her some clean clothes way.

Don't know if we could get in today, but we're gonna try.

Colleen was able to get in to see her mother was really area there.

You know, the majority of the doors were closed.

I saw very few staff.

My mom was still in bed and this was about 11 30.

Do they have the staff to get these people out of bed?

The problem is that nursing home settings and retirement centers like this have many older patients who are immuno compromised and have many underlying medical conditions that just place them at risk.

Unfortunately for them there a captive audience.

That's exactly the fear that Pat Herrick had for her 89 year old mother, Elaine.

Sunday.

She spoke with me and she was really depressed, and I said, So how's it going?

This is My roommate keeps coughing and coughing.

Four days later, Pat got a devastating call at 3 30 this morning, I got a phone call, and it's very gracious.

Nurse.

God bless her, she says.

I'm so sorry to tell you that your mother has passed.

Still processing the news her mother had died Later that morning, the phone rang again.

It was a representative from the corporate headquarters of the nursing home.

She said, I just want to check in with you and let you know that your mother's doing fine, that she doesn't have a temperature.

And I said, That's my mom died at 3 30 this morning and she was, Oh, my God, you know, that wasn't in the chart.

Carmen Gray's mother is still in the care facility, and she's able to talk on the phone.

She said that she's scared and anyone who has a parent left knows.

So you don't want to hear those words coming from your parent that they're scared.

We spoke to Carmen's mother, Susan just a few hours ago, you were wanted Lee.

Yes, absolutely, yes.

It's not that people are nice.

It's that I don't like being, and I am.

I've reached out to Life Care Center several times this week with no response.

However, they did issue a statement on their website.

Life Care Center of Kirkland is continuing to provide care for our residents.

The facilities highest priority.

Our clinical team is making personal one on one telephone calls with family members to share information about loved ones and respond to questions.

And local officials say they're working on a plan that may allow some residents to leave those family members now left to fear what news will be on the other end of the line.

They can't let those people sit there waiting for this virus to attack him.

Now I'm afraid it's too late.
