The main thing you should know about depression and anxiety is that they exist only in your head. And this is the key to understand how you can get rid of these feelings. When I get depressed or anxious I remember great thought - "If you are depressed, you are living in the past. If you are anxious, you are living in the future. If you are at peace, you are living in the present" And it always helps me. Because these words are true. When you are depressed, ask yourself, what are you thinking about? 99% is that you are recollecting something unpleasant and painful of your past. Something that were long ago, something that happened in the past. It's not happening right now, but you are still thinking about it. So stop doing this. Stop letting your past destructing your present. When you are depressed, you may think, for example, "my life sucks". And you may tell me, "well, my life sucks, that's why I'm in depression". No. The thought "my life sucks" couldn't appear from nowhere and put you in a bad mood. It's always your unpleasant memories. You should always remember, that your depression is the result of your bad memories. When you are depressed, you should listen to your thoughts, catch those bad memories, and get rid of them. And you will get rid of depression. Anxiety is the opposite case. Anxiety is the result of your thoughts about the future. You should do something, or something going to happen, and you worry about it. You develop scenarios of future events in your head, and worry that something will go wrong. Again, you let your thoughts drop your spirit. So stop thinking about the future. If you have to do something, do this, and won't let your thoughts bother you. To sum up, you should always remember that your depression is result of your thoughts about the past and anxiety is result of your thoughts about the future.
