  • But what exactly is this terrifying Russian madhouse?

  • And how will a tie in to the upcoming Black Widow solo movie today we're going to be talking about the Red Room and spilling all of its many secrets?

  • But keep it on the down low.

  • Where else Russia might send an assassin after us?

  • You never know.

  • Let's get into it in a second.

  • But before we get into it, we want to give a big thank you to the seven deadly sins Grand Cross for sponsoring this video.

  • For those who don't know, Grand Cross is an upcoming mobile RPG, based on the seven deadly sins Enemy and Hoo hoo boy.

  • It's going to be awesome.

  • I love the show, and I'm so excited to play some of my favorite characters, especially Bond, as the scent of greed holds a very special place in my heart. 00:00:57.990 --> 00:01:5.750 Too often, games based on shows don't feel very connected to the source material, which is why the seven deadly sins Grand Cross is so exciting. 00:01:5.940 --> 00:01:14.150 It's not only honoring the original manga and anime, but it has the original voice actor fromthe show as well as a famous Japanese game music composer.

  • How cool is that?

  • It's graphics and action sequences look insanely good, and it really looks like the developers will give players the chance to explore the continent of Catania in ways I only dreamed of before.

  • If you're a fan of the anime or just someone who loves epic RPG games, then you have to check this one out.

  • So what are you waiting for before evil takes over the land?

  • Go to the Apple Google Play Store to download today the world's counting on you.

  • Now back to the video for this video, it's super important to understand what the red Room ISS and where it came from, and there's so much information behind it that it could feel a little overwhelming. 00:01:59.630 --> 00:02:4.050 Like Did you know the Red Room is in just a room that's painted bright red crazy right? 00:02:4.220 --> 00:02:13.750 It's actually a highly secretive training program determined to create the deadliest and most dangerous female spies in the world doesn't have red walls, It probably does.

  • But more likely than not, those red spots probably aren't paint if you catch my drift.

  • Project hails from Russia, and its origins in the comics are tied directly to the success of the Winter.

  • Soldier like Russia took a look at the brainwashed Bucky Barnes and was like, Yeah, we're pretty good at this sort of thing.

  • Let's keep it up.

  • But while we're at it, let's make it even more terrifying and inhumane and involve Children who took a bunch of little orphan girls and started molding and sculpting them to become dangerous assassins.

  • They wanted agents who could infiltrate every other country in the world, so you could imagine the time and effort it took to create a spy like that in the emcee You.

  • What they do to recruits in the Red Room is enough to make anyone sick. 00:02:53.220 --> 00:03:1.590 Sure, there's a lot of normal activities for little girls to be doing, like hand to hand combat training, weapons training, gymnastics, tactical skills, et cetera. 00:03:1.740 --> 00:03:10.140 Wait, all that doesn't sound right, but sometimes things get even more wild when two girls are forced to fight one another with a winner being rewarded in the loser.

  • Well, let's just say the loser doesn't have to worry about the red room anymore.

  • But things get even creepier to once you find out what other trading methods the girls had to go through in the M.

  • C.

  • U version of the Red Room.

  • They were forced to watch movies like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which was packed to the brim with subliminal messaging with the purpose of brainwashing the little girls.

  • Words like fear and pain were inserted into these videos so it could influence and shape the little girl watching.

  • Man, I thought Snow White was already sort of a horror movie, but that takes it to a whole other level.

  • Oh, and not because anyone would ever do this, because the red room sounds like so much fun.

  • But every night they handcuffed the girls to the bed just to make sure no one ran off in the middle of the night.

  • But that's a little much, don't you think?

  • Who would ever want to leave such a paradise that made you do actual human target practice? 00:04:0.010 --> 00:04:5.900 That entire background brings us to the most famous graduate of the Red Room, Natasha Romanoff, a k a. 00:04:5.900 --> 00:04:7.340 Black widow, A k a. 00:04:7.340 --> 00:04:12.510 The one with the least amount of superpowers but still 10 times scarier than almost anybody else.

  • Natasha was a standout in the otherwise forgettable Iron Man two, and her role is slowly been increasing ever since.

  • Thinking about it, it's absolutely nuts to think how she started out in the f.

  • C.

  • U.

  • She went from side character in one of the least liked emcee You films to growing enoughto have an epic sacrifice on war Mir in Avengers and Game to finally getting her own solo movie this year with Black Widow.

  • For all You Worried, the Black Widow movie will just be shots of Natasha's body at the bottom of warm air for two hours.

  • Might be happy to know this is a prequel set in the two years between Civil War and Infinity War.

  • We learned a lot about Natasha and her time in the Red Room in Avengers Age of Ultron. 00:04:49.410 --> 00:05:1.630 We even got some disturbing flashbacks, thanks to some spooky scarlet which magic through these visions, we learned that Natasha became one of the top students in the red Room X selling in just about every task they set before her. 00:05:1.820 --> 00:05:7.270 Even if that meant executing an innocent man, we don't necessarily blame her for her past actions. 00:05:7.270 --> 00:05:9.450 Given the circumstances she grew up in the O. 00:05:9.630 --> 00:05:11.560 It all sounds so awful.

  • The shore lived, but beloved.

  • Siri's agent, Carter, had the titular agent face off against Dottie Underwood, who was an assassin.

  • Also trained in the horrid Training Academy.

  • It showed us just how awful the whole process really was by showing how if you're weak or lost a fight, you'd be eliminated.

  • And according to Black Widow and Age of Ultron, there is one very traumatic thing that really affected her the most.

  • Upon graduating from the Red Room, Natasha was sterilized so she couldn't have Children.

  • The reasoning behind it was that the Red Room performed these horrible surgeries to help their recruits avoid any distractions and focus solely on her missions.

  • The sad thing is that she tried to get out of it.

  • Near the end of the program, Natasha pretended to fail her physical exams, but the people in charge knew she was faking and force her to go through with the sterilization process anyway. 00:05:59.320 --> 00:06:0.340 Talk about horrid. 00:06:0.570 --> 00:06:5.670 And the sad thing is, it's the sterilization process that made Black Widow think less of herself. 00:06:5.850 --> 00:06:15.240 The romance aspect in Age of Ultron, between Black Widow and Bruce Banner was a little clunky and problematic, but it gave a clear picture of how, exactly Natasha thought of herself.

  • She felt akin to Bruce because she, too, felt like a monster, although that's frustrating in a lot of ways for Natasha to see herself in that regard hard.

  • It made us hate the Red Room even more.

  • But what exactly did the Red Room turn Natasha into?

  • When asked what would happen if she failed, Madam be told her that she never fails to.

  • Our words have never been spoken.

  • Just about anything Black widow sets her mind to the super spy can get done besides being an expert in hand to hand combat, where she's very likely to wrap her legs around your head and flip you over before he could even blink.

  • She's also great at disguise, hacking and especially manipulation. 00:06:50.520 --> 00:07:0.200 Look at what she did in the First Avengers movie, even tricking Loki into revealing parts of his plan and a genius move In my opinion, that's one of the best scenes in that movie. 00:07:0.520 --> 00:07:2.200 She's even great with weapons. 00:07:2.310 --> 00:07:9.850 Every movie Natasha tends to get an upgrade in terms of weaponry, and each item she proves to be incredibly deadly with and just overall. 00:07:9.850 --> 00:07:14.080 The one thing that the Red Room trained her in the most was how to be a deadly assassin.

  • It stripped away all of her morals and values.

  • And, as Natasha likes to say, put a lot of red in her ledger.

  • It's super tough when you're in that dark and twisted mindset to find a way back to the light.

  • But thankfully, there was one shield agent who saw the good inside of Natasha and wanted to help.

  • And that is, of course, Clint Barton, a k a.

  • Hawkeye, a k a.

  • The Avenger that everyone made fun of at the beginning but now is a fan favorite.

  • When super spy Nick Theory heard about Natasha, he did what he always seems to do in that situation.

  • He sent some of the deal with it by any means necessary.

  • Clint was supposed to eliminate her, but, as black widow puts it, he made a different call.

  • Clint disobeyed his order and instead recommended her for shield recruitment, which Natasha later joined when she affected from Russia. 00:07:57.440 --> 00:08:1.210 But sometimes we all just need somebody to believe in us. 00:08:1.390 --> 00:08:2.950 Natasha wasn't a bad person. 00:08:3.010 --> 00:08:7.400 She was just brainwashed and indoctrinated by a twisted and dark organization. 00:08:7.590 --> 00:08:22.260 They may have trained her body to be one of the world's best assassins, but they couldn't snuff out the inherent goodness inside of her divide to get Black Widow Her own solo movie has been going on for ages, even since she first showed up in Iron Man two.

  • There have been talks about a spinoff and origin story for the character, but as the years passed, it seemed less and less likely.

  • Then finally, after much fan demand, Marvel got the ball rolling on a black widow solo film, and I can't imagine how exciting it was to finally hear the news.

  • But then things got confusing.

  • Natasha's solo film was announced before Avengers and game hit theaters, so we were at least pretty sure Natasha would make it out of the game alive.

  • But of course, that's not what happened.

  • Her shocking demise in that film was so sad, but also calls into question the necessity of an origin film.

  • What's the point if she's not around to the present day anymore?

  • Well, I would argue that there's still so much to learn about black widows past, even if she doesn't have that bright of a future and just looking at the trailers for the upcoming movie, It seems like every single question we have about where Black Widow came from and how she got started will be answered.

  • The plot of the movie revolves around black Widow returning to Russia with other black widows to find answers and stop a new deadly threat.

  • It will see her team up with Florence Fugue and Rachel Weiss as well, a stranger things David Harbour.

  • And if that doesn't get you excited, then maybe you're a stone cold assassin trained by the Red Room.

  • Overall, the Red Room was a horrible traumatic experience for Black Widow, but it turned her into the beloved character we know today.

  • What they did to her was inexcusable, and I can't wait to see her confront and destroy her past in her new solo movie.

  • What do you think's going to happen when black widow returns to the Red Room, even though this is a prequel.

  • Are you happy?

  • Black widow Spinal e Getting her own solo movie I definitely am.
