  • Thank you very, very much.

  • Let's get straight into it.

  • So what is the best way?

  • The easiest way for you to answer behavioral interview questions.

  • The behavioral interview questions are questions where they say, Give me an example of when you worked as part of a team.

  • Give me an example of when you worked hard under pressure, et cetera.

  • On the best way to answer these is to use the star technique.

  • So just think of a star and then answer it in that manner.

  • So what does Starr actually mean, Where you construct your answer to each of the behavioral into your questions?

  • In this manner, you start off and you explain what the situation was that you were in.

  • Seems say well, a situation I was in.

  • I was working in a particular role on I was dealing with a customer who was making a complaint, and then you move on in.

  • You tell the interview panel the tasks that needed to be done So you would then say on the customer was complaining on.

  • I decided that I needed needed to resolve the complaint for them satisfactorily in accordance with company guidelines.

  • You would then explain the action you took.

  • So you would say I asked the customer to tell me the issue and the exact complaint that they had.

  • I listen to them.

  • I took notes.

  • And then I come up with a solution to the problem.

  • And then you tell the interview panel the result.

  • So you explain to him the results off me.

  • Solving the complaint was the customer was really happy, and they walked away on.

  • They promised to use the company against.

  • That's just a very brief explanation of how you would use a star technique to construct your answer.

  • I'm gonna give you four specific answers, too tough behavioral questions in a second.

  • So the important thing to remember when responding to behavioral interview questions is to make sure your answers are specific.

  • Don't say what you would do in a certain situation, but say what you've already done previously.

  • So let's start taking a look at some of these questions.

  • I'll tell you at some stage during the video, where you can download a copy of these, plus another 16 behavioral interview questions and answers.

  • Tell me about a time when you went above and beyond what was required at work.

  • This is becoming a really common behavioral interview question because a lot of employers his two tips raunchiness all employees that they want to hire someone who will go the extra mile for them.

  • So you can stand out from the competition at the interview by demonstrating You have a positive attitude to your work on, also by showing that you have a willingness to doom or than the average employee.

  • So a lot of employers want to get more out of their staff on if you're willing to doom or go above and beyond, then that is a positive thing, and it's an easy way to shine.

  • At the interview.

  • The second tip.

  • Make sure you tell the interview planet you are someone who will gladly help out when required and then provide a specific example of when you've done this in a previous role.

  • So let's take a look at my suggested answer to this question.

  • Tell me about time when you went above and beyond what was required at work, and I'm gonna utilize the star technique.

  • So here we go.

  • In my previous job, my manager was looking for volunteers to work extra hours over a four week period because we needed to get a particular project completed really quickly.

  • The project involved intense work collecting data from our website statistics, which would then be used by our marketing department to improve overall customer experience and sells conversions.

  • I volunteered to help out as a new was important to assist the business in achieving the goals.

  • Now, over the four week period, I worked on additional hour each day, which in total added up to 20 hours extra work specifically dedicated to the project.

  • And at the end of the four week period, the project was completed satisfactorily on the results were very positive for my employees.

  • So the important thing there is that you volunteered to help out, and then you did an extra hour a day for a four week period.

  • If you said that to me during an interview, I would be impressed and I would think, Hey, I am interested in hiring this person because they're willing to do more than what the average employee would do.

  • Okay, so let's have a look at another question.

  • Tell me about a time you responded to feedback from someone else.

  • So tell me about a time when you responded to feedback from someone else to tips to answer this question.

  • Now some people don't respond positively to feedback from other people.

  • They don't like it now.

  • Whilst it's important to have confidence in your own abilities, you are not going to continually continually improve or develop unless you're open to constructive feedback from those people who are willing to give it now.

  • Demonstrate in your answer.

  • You have a desire to continually grow, develop and improve in your work.

  • And if you do that, you will be attractive to any potential employer because we want people who come into jobs.

  • And they are.

  • They're happy to grow and develop professionally and personally undertake training courses and also listen to feedback.

  • So if your line manager or supervisor said, Look, I think you could do this a different way, then even better.

  • But more importantly, if you actually seek the feedback yourself, that's a better way to gain a higher score during this interview question.

  • So let me give you my suggested answer to the question.

  • Tell me about the time you responded to feedback from someone else.

  • I've been working on a task within the office for a few days, and whilst I was making steady progress, I felt that way I was approaching the job could be improved.

  • So I decided to speak to a more senior member of the company to Oscar if she had any tips on how to approach the talks differently.

  • After reviewing what I was doing, she made a couple of suggestions for improvement, which are gladly took on board.

  • Now, after using the new approach to working on the task, my productivity increased significantly, and I completed the task well ahead of schedule and also to a much better standard.

  • Then, if I'd have carried on utilizing my old approach.

  • I am someone who will take on board feedback as a C.

  • Continuous improvement is an important part of being a productive employee.

  • That's a rock solid answer to that question, but more importantly, you were the one who sought to the feedback.

  • That's better.

  • OK, that is better.

  • Let's have a look at another question.

  • Um, when have you worked on multiple projects and how did you prioritize them?

  • So when if you worked on multiple projects and how did you prioritize?

  • Prioritize them.

  • So two tips Being able to manage and handle lots of projects and work all at once is an attractive quality to potential employees.

  • Make sure you provide a detailed explanation as to how you're able to easily manage your workload and prioritize the task.

  • So here's a good answer to these questions.

  • I used to work in a small team of four people enduring one particular month.

  • Two team members went off sick, which left only two of us to manage the entire office workload and projects.

  • I looked at this situation as an opportunity to develop my multitasking skills.

  • And so I took on two specific projects one of the team members had been working on, in addition to my own world load.

  • To prioritize the tasks, I drew up a list of work and toss that needed to be done and by which time and date are then placed a priority order number next to each task from 1 to 5 now five being the lowest priority task and one being the highest priority and then started working through each task in order of priority making sure I worked strictly to the deadline's required where needed.

  • I would stay behind after normal hours to ensure the completion dates will not missed.

  • I feel I am a competent, multi tasker and can be relied upon to take on lots of projects and task whilst ensuring there all completed to the standards needed to another solid, specific response to that tough behavioral question.

  • Now I'm going to give you one Maur sample, which so please stick around and listen to it.

  • But there is a button appearing right now in the top right hand corner of the screen.

  • If you'd like to download 20 behavioral interview questions and answers, then click that and it will take you through to my website.

  • Andi.

  • I've created a download document, which is only like 7 99 um, £7.99 to download.

  • You get all of the that.

  • The answers to all of the questions on the I feel will come up during your interview.

  • Let's take a look at what given example of a goal you didn't achieve and how you handled it.

  • So, given example of a goal you did not achieve and how you handled it to tips, some people believe the best answer to this difficult behavioral question is to say you've never failed to meet your goals.

  • This is not the way to answer it, because we will all set goals, and some of them we won't achieve them.

  • But the purpose of this question is to assess how you handle failure on how you view it, so always treat failure as an opportunity to improve and develop.

  • You should analyze your work performance with a view to improving for the next time you work on a specific task, a project or ago.

  • So here's a really good answer to these questions.

  • In a previous role, I had been working hard to gain an internal promotion.

  • Now, to meet the demands of the new role, I spent time studying relevant training courses on, also shadowed my line manager for four weeks to find out what it takes to perform the role to the standards needed.

  • On the day of my promotion into, I felt I had performed really good, and I answered all of the questions required Now, unfortunately, after the interview, my senior manager informed me I was not successful.

  • The feedback I received was based on the fact they felt I needed more time in my current role, and there were a number of skills I still needed to develop now, although I didn't achieve my goal, I looked upon the experience is a positive one on I took on board my senior managers comments and worked hard to improve for the next round of promotions.

  • 12 months later, I had the chance to go over a motion again, and this time I was successful.

  • So never really good answer.
