  • I thought I'd bring you to another very noisy busy street in East London for this one.

  • So you're welcome.

  • Essentially, I'm here to tell you that I love entertaining, but I actually can't cook.

  • So this time I've enlisted the help of someone wonderful season author.

  • She's television presenter.

  • She's the queen of supper clubs.

  • It's Laura Jackson on.

  • I basically want her to impart all of her knowledge about putting together a supper club or a dinner party or whatever you wanna call it, and that way I could learn how to do it.

  • So today is very much about preplanning, So I'm gonna go meet her in mind, staining space the pub and then eventually will graduate towards the home.

  • Laura, thank you so much for doing this with me.

  • I thought you'd be the perfect person to help, because you have years and years of experience of being the supper queen.

  • Essentially, yes, the whole point of a simple club is that it isn't a restaurant experience, so it's more personal.

  • It's more bespoke, and it's usually at somebody's house or in an interesting venue that you wouldn't ordinarily get.

  • Theo will you've been very kind and offering your home for us to do this in, which is really nice.

  • And I'll explain that my house is tiny and I think you can only fit about four people in my kitchen.

  • There's so little space in Manhattan in a couple of people.

  • I know we're keeping a close in the oven.

  • You don't really switch it on, and I can't say that happened.

  • Grown out of that, my culinary prowess extends as far as a soup.

  • A pastor on a salad at the same time.

  • Often it will be at the same time, maybe a soupy pastor.

  • Great Home Minister Tony.

  • Exactly.

  • See, this is why they pay you the big boast.

  • How many people do you wanna have it at your house?

  • 20.

  • No way.

  • We need to make no.

  • Okay, let's get the first step.

  • Make note.

  • What's the plan for this afternoon?

  • Proceeding The actual supper itself.

  • Flowers?

  • Yeah.

  • Then we'll go to the fabric shop.

  • We need to get some linen for the tables on to make some napkins that you can choose.

  • I'm gonna make I'm gonna make a tablecloth.

  • It's really easy.

  • Can you?

  • What?

  • I have to sew it.

  • No, no, no.

  • We're just gonna cut it, okay?

  • It's gonna look good, okay?

  • I'm all about cheese.

  • I'm like Delia.

  • Okay?

  • Is Delia cheat?

  • She uses counsel.

  • She uses pounds of food.

  • She does go on, and then we're gonna go to the vegetable and get the fruit.

  • Veg.

  • How many people who want this?

  • You 10 10.

  • Okay, Yeah.

  • Okay.

  • What kind of thing do you like to cook apart from Minister earning?

  • Well, I could I don't know what I like to cook, but I could tell you what I might like to eat.

  • Okay, if I were to attend someone else's.

  • Okay.

  • Dinner?

  • Um, I think something that's No, it's winter.

  • Is there something that's quite cozy on Dhe?

  • It's like that is out of the booth.

  • It's like a pink ridicu on.

  • We could make that into a winning I saw lawfully.

  • Okay, I'm pretty yet.

  • That's the thing.

  • You want things that really easy.

  • Look pretty look like you spent ages doing it, but you haven't.

  • Is it nice?

  • Yes, we're putting them in in bosses.

  • Yes, we can.

  • We can either put them in stem vases and have, like, little stemmed glasses on the table on this, Like a florist trick called a frog is kind of a bit like a flat plate with little little spiky bits and put the stem into the frog.

  • And then it makes it look like you've done a flower arrangement.

  • I think coming to the fruit and veg drop our kind of wrapped like write a loose menu like we've got on then I'll always be inspired by what's in season.

  • So I obviously in Samaria more salad kind of stuff and cook for after and things like that.

  • And then in the winter, it's more about, you know, Jerusalem, artichokes and the machines.

  • But you can see what's in season by coming to you from the bedroom.

  • You don't have to think about it too much.

  • So we've got our friend vegetables.

  • We're getting out the specialist things either online or in other places.

  • Yes.

  • Where you gonna take me?

  • Next to the fabric shop is so amazing.

  • And a lover.

  • So my table is one meter by three meters.

  • Yeah.

  • So I'm gonna get four meters to cover the edges.

  • Yes, two of those.

  • And then we need some for napkins.

  • So I would normally do six napkins in a meter.

  • Okay, so let's get three meters, just in case we make any mistake, then they can take him home.

  • Okay, Next up, a club.

  • I just acted like I knew you were saying, like, barely count, so that sounds great.

  • Thank you so much.

  • That's gonna be really pretty.

  • Also, it's more like my vibe, which is like a bit boyish, but also sometimes ultra fem.

  • Is it too much if we have a like with glittery element?

  • No.

  • My eyeball key has been going to that silver sequin stuff.

  • Okay, He's here.

  • Yeah, Just going investigator.

  • Yeah.

  • What would we use it for?

  • I just like it.

  • It's so nice.

  • I've just never thought of doing it.

  • Unless you like a very selfish lover.

  • It's also great cause when you buy fabric, you could just keep her and we use it.

  • So I think I've got a cupboard full of napkins, tablecloths I bought from here.

  • Over the just reuse again and again.

  • You got cash?

  • No, e.

  • I never carry cash.

  • Thank you.
