  • huh?

  • Hi, guys, today.

  • I wanted to talk through my skin care and a few secrets that have really worked for me over time.

  • This has been something that I've been really working on for years, and so I have a few tried and true items, as well as some new things that I'm starting to incorporate and change about my routine to really help.

  • For the record, I am right in between those stages of having like, acne and having wrinkles, and I've always had more of like an oily skin lately that's been changing a little bit, as I'm not necessarily having problems with acne anymore.

  • But every now and then I will.

  • And so how do I kind of manage that background of having oily skin and trying to prevent breakouts?

  • And then when you go to try to prevent wrinkles like that's when I usually see a breakout, it's a delicate balance for me, but I definitely have had issues with both sorts of categories, regardless of what your skin is like.

  • I'm sure I've had a similar battle in those ways because my foot kind of in both sides of the stream with that so Today I have five secrets, things that I think could really help anybody.

  • The 1st 1 is how I cleanse my skin.

  • So at night time it's a little bit different than in the morning.

  • So at night, when I have to take off all my makeup and then actually cleanse my skin, I use a two step process.

  • I think that a few years ago I did a skin care video and ah, lot of people at the time we're having, like, a five or six step process with their skin care.

  • I don't necessarily see that happening quite as frequently anymore.

  • At least maybe I'm just not aware.

  • But the one thing that I have been using since then is a NOL clean bomb.

  • This is by Hamish.

  • I don't know if I'm pronouncing that right, but it's a cleansing oil and I've used some other cleansing oils that I love so much they all do the job efficiently.

  • But I like that.

  • This one is something I can travel with.

  • A lot of the other oils that I have it would so easily fall apart if I was traveling, and I feel like the worst thing when you're traveling is when you can't get your makeup off properly because you don't have, like your full kit of makeup remover tze and like everything.

  • But this is a really efficient cleanser.

  • I like that it doesn't strip my skin of the oils that it needs because I do think that when I do that, then my my face would produce more oil.

  • And I also like that.

  • This has more of like a milky texture to it as well, so that it's really cleansing and not necessarily foaming.

  • But it has that sort of appearance of getting the makeup off.

  • And my mascara's, I think, are really difficult to get off when I use like, I don't really use waterproof anymore, but I do have thick mascara and it is difficult to take off.

  • So it also is helpful to double cleanse, because when you do take your makeup off, you do have a little bit around here, you know, around your face that could really clog with pores and everything.

  • So after I used that, um, I use a my cellar water.

  • Now this one's empty.

  • I just finish this off yesterday.

  • Ah, but I really liked it.

  • It was the first time I had to use this product again.

  • I am not a beauty guru.

  • I usually pronounce things like this wrong.

  • But audacity, I believe, is how you pronounce it and let me know if it's different.

  • But this is a blue aura cleansing water.

  • It has a name.

  • Holy basil.

  • Turmeric, which Okay, I usually say tumeric.

  • I don't know another word that I'm still getting used to, but it has a low in it as well.

  • And it's just like everything in here is very healing.

  • It's more like a toner than even just in my cellar water.

  • So that's why I've been loving this one.

  • And I'm really excited because, um, I was just gifted.

  • I was just gifted this big box of a bunch of different things from Detox Market, and that one was in it.

  • So now I don't have to restock like it's already here, and I'm really excited about that.

  • But I did like that product enough to be able to use it morning and night.

  • So I used that after I take off all my makeup.

  • With this, I sometimes will use a general cleanser.

  • I really like this one by I think it's costar X.

  • I will link you guys down in the description for that one that I've used for years.

  • Um, but if you just want something that's a little bit quicker and easier, my main thing I put off is my whole regimen at night, like it takes me a long time to get up the courage to just go and have this whole process.

  • And so if I can simplify it at all I will and having something that I can just put on Ah cotton ball and remove my makeup, I usually do that, and it works really well.

  • So for cotton balls, I have made the switch to organic cotton balls just because I feel like if I'm putting it on my skin, I feel like it would be healthier in general to do that.

  • And then also, it's just been interesting up in learning a little bit about organic farming when it comes especially to cotton, which is heavily using pesticides and stuff.

  • So that's kind of a good combo to use with the my cellar water.

  • One thing about this, my cellar water, though you can't use it necessarily around your eyes or like neck or anything that you really need to be careful with, like that fragile skin.

  • You don't want to put something like this on it and use your own judgment a CZ.

  • Far as that's concerned, I do like to have either that or a general cleanser.

  • So, yeah, I'll link you guys to it, and you can decide for yourself what works for you.

  • So, yeah, my first tip is to double cleanse at night and then using that my cellar water really will help in the morning and at night.

  • I've seen a big difference, and then that also cuts out the use of a toner.

  • So that's kind of my cleansing process.

  • After that, I feel like my next big concern for my skin is my lips.

  • So I generally have talked to you guys a lot about how I have chapped lips, and it's just a constant battle.

  • I would say it's even a battle in summertime when it's humid out.

  • Usually people have a little bit of dry lips when the weather starts getting colder and then through January and everything your lips can be really, really dry.

  • But my life seemed to be dry all the time, so I have a few tips that I have literally seen.

  • A huge difference in the first thing is using an old fashions products like aquifer, which is basically gasoline.

  • It's not one of the most like, healthy things that you could be using.

  • But if you're desperate like I found myself being desperate, I will put this on at night.

  • So it's not a product that I use through the day or anything.

  • I have other products I'll show you in a second when it comes to nighttime.

  • I want something really thick, and I want to wake up and not have issues with my lips.

  • So that has helped so much.

  • And it helps through the day as well.

  • Because if my lips are off to a good start after night and like waking up, then I feel like it's easier to maintain that during the day.

  • So during the day, one thing that I love to do a secret that's really helped with my chapped lips, aside from the nighttime stuff is this for daytime, this is Ah, Charlotte Tilbury and how I came across this lip balm was literally just I was trying on lipsticks for about an hour in the store, like just to find the perfect shade that was going for And then I kind of like as a last resort was like, I really just want my lips be moisturized through the day.

  • And I also am really looking for something I can put on that I can keep in my purse that will help me have a little bit something there after, like, I'll have lunch with a friend.

  • I want to put something on my lips, you know, And that go to for me has been lipstick for so long.

  • But having something cleared has helped me be able to put something on that I don't necessarily have to check the mirror for, to see if I just completely didn't put on my lipstick right?

  • And so having something more like a lip balm is a beautiful option.

  • It would just bring out my natural shade of my lips, and it also looks like a lipstick, so it's kind of a clever design.

  • I know that a lot of other companies have this, and a lot of high end companies have this um, the Charlotte Tilberis option is beautiful.

  • It's got these little Panthers on them, and I also like the fact that I can keep this with me.

  • And it's not like I am breaking out, you know, a jug of gasoline or like even Zach likes those little CarMax bottles that are yellow, and this is just a much classier option if you're gonna have it in your purse, I almost forgot.

  • There's one more little lip thing that I use, and this is not something I use all the time.

  • But this is a frank body lips scrub.

  • If you know Frank Body, they're known for having like coffee scrubs.

  • So this is a coffee scrub that I use on my lips, and I I only use this if I feel like my lips are desperate enough for having some sort of exfoliation.

  • I never exploit my lips, except if I really need it, because it's not like when you exfoliate the rest of your skin.

  • Like when you exploit your lips, your exfoliating your skin, that really is protective.

  • Ah, protective barrier for moisture, and so you want that layer there.

  • You don't want to keep taking it off because there's no oils in your lips like that, um, that your skin would have.

  • So this is something I use that has a lot of moisture in it, and I've just been really happy with this one compared to some other lips scrubs that I've used so had to mention that one moving on to my next tip.

  • I always have different moisturizers for different parts of my skin.

  • So, like I said earlier, I have some parts of my skin of that experience, wrinkles and some that experience breakouts.

  • And I'm just like right between those two categories.

  • So for my skin, not talking eyes or other fragile areas, I use this.

  • This is the belief Pete Miracle Revital cream.

  • I've shown this to you guys in the past, and I like it a lot because it has Pete in it.

  • So if you know about Pete, it's like a ah Moss that it's probably not even a moss.

  • I don't really know exactly what it is.

  • It's like an allergy or something, but it's very protective.

  • Um, there have been like swamps that they've found.

  • I really feel like this is out of place for this video, but they found bodies in peat swamps, and they're perfectly preserved for like, hundreds of years.

  • So that's why when it comes to a moisturizer, the go to thing to put on your face to preserve it is Pete.

  • And so it's kind of a good option if you are looking for something for youthful skin.

  • But it also says that improves skin turnover, so that's why I use it.

  • I use it for more of trying to make my skin continually look fresh.

  • And to have that cell turnover that I need for having my pores clear.

  • And so that's really helped me a lot.

  • I've seen a big difference on skin that usually is where breakout prone to have something like this.

  • For my eyes, though, I want something that is not necessarily something I need for having the cell turnover as much as I just want to preserve moisture there and also keep collagen.

  • So one thing that I showed you guys a few months ago is this so jelly.

  • Ah, Frank product.

  • I will link you guys to its cactus I jelly.

  • So I put this around my eyes also put it in between my eyebrows, which I can tell like I frown in my sleep like that's really the area that I know I'm gonna have wrinkles with.

  • And I have seen a really big difference when I used this product around my eyes and also between that area.

  • So it seems like after I use this and after I put it on morning and night, I've been noticing those areas sort of filling, look a little bit more like plump and more youthful.

  • And I don't necessarily experience those same issues when I've been using this product.

  • So that's kind of like an update.

  • When I last year, do you guys this?

  • I was like, I'll keep you posted.

  • I just started trying and I like it.

  • But I really like this because it is.

  • I want to make sure I say it right.

  • I believe there's collagen in this cream.

  • Yeah, I use is plant collagen.

  • So that's that's really where you get that.

  • Um, that treatment from is through cactus plant collagen.

  • So sometimes I will use that around my eyes and my neck if I'm just feeling extra lazy.

  • But if I really want to break out every sort of product, Then I will also use a neck cream.

  • Um, this is I will link you guys to it as well, but it's a I don't know how to pronounce anything on here, and it's also almost completely wiped off.

  • So, Linc, you guys to this?

  • But having a neck cream has also been something that I prioritize for nighttime, especially so that just allows me to have something that's a little bit more moisturizing and conditioning for my skin when I'm not trying to also put makeup on top.

  • This would not be a good product to put on during the day because it's sort of pills a little bit.

  • Ah, if you're like rubbing it with other products, so just know that.

  • But it has been a really good neck product for me for a few months now.

  • So, yeah, that's really my overall tip is to have different parts of your skin be treated differently.

  • If you have sort of in between skin like me, or if you want to be more preventative or whatever it is, it is nice to be able to treat each part of your skin a little bit different from others because it isn't just going to be one blanket treatment that you want to use all over your face.

  • There's different parts of your skin that need different sorts of moisturizers.

  • My nice to skin secret that I feel has been so transformative is to have a skin brush.

  • So having something like this that's powered is a really great option.

  • I feel like everybody was using these on their face a few years ago.

  • Don't know if people are still doing that honestly, but I found a really good deal on this.

  • I'll try Link you guys Thio.

  • I actually saw that The company that sells these is Vanity Planet, and they have a women's version that is much more expensive than a men's version.

  • And it seemed exactly identical to me.

  • So I went ahead and bought the men's version.

  • It comes with a few different heads, and this one is for the body, and so that's what I love to do for my shoulders, my back chest.

  • You want to use something like that to exfoliate those areas.

  • So whenever I would see a skin s petition or like going to get facials, sometimes I would get a back facial as well and they told me to use some sort of like dry brush technique.

  • And so when I saw this, I wanted to use that for when I'm in the shower.

  • This is something that you can bring into the shower.

  • And even though it's electric, it will be fine when wet.

  • And then also it comes with a few different heads as well that you can use on your face to exploit.

  • That s so I wanted to use something like this that would really cleanse and really have that cell turnover where I need it on my body.

  • I've been treating the rest of my skin on my body to be more like I treat my face so I don't want to just stop at exfoliating and moisturizing my face.

  • But I also want to do the same sort of treatments for the rest of my body.

  • Another way that I do that is through a product like this.

  • This is the here and there, balm by detox mode registered you guys this before, but I am absolutely a fan of it.

  • You just take a little bit, which seems kind of more like too thick thio even put on your body.

  • But then you just warm it up in your hands, and it's just this beautiful, healthy sense, and it it just feels so good.

  • Like I like to put it where you put it more so on things like patchy elbows or knees or anywhere that just needs, Ah, good healing balm like you would put moisturizer on but a little bit thicker than that.

  • So that's been really good.

  • Ah, and that's just one more technique is like thinking of the rest of your body as the as you would your face.

  • So as you're getting older, too, it's something that you'll be thankful for.

  • That you did besides just SPF is to treat your body from head to toe with the respect that it deserves just a couple of other odds and ends that I like to use, which aren't really in a category necessarily.

  • But I do like to use a couple of different products that will help me when I just feel like my skin is desperate.

  • So one thing that I like to use is this, which is a blemish gel is one of the spa treatments and I can try a link.

  • You guys to this one.

  • I'm not sure if I'll be able Thio.

  • I just got it where I get my facials.

  • But having some sort of blemish gel that will really heal one spot in particular means that you're not going to use something so stringent on the rest of your face.

  • Unless you just need that and having something like this will be more correcting and you'll be able to feel like less concerned.

  • If you've got a big important thing to go to and you're starting to develop a breakout, you can heal that really quickly.

  • Another thing that helps me a lot is this.

  • It's a enzyme mask by Native Atlas, and it is something that I was not expecting toe work very well for me.

  • I was expecting it to be kind of like, OK, this is just sort of a a typical product that I don't know.

  • I just I just was not expecting to be overwhelmed.

  • L and having something like this would really help me for those days where I just feel like my skin needs a facial and I just can't get a facial then, um then.

  • This has been really helpful for those in between moments to get me in between facials.

  • Finally, my tip is to notice your food and exercise reactions on your skin.

  • So for me, that meant that there's some foods that I'm just naturally allergic to, and I've talked to a lot of different doctors and dietitians on why this is and they all from any sort of background, say that everybody's by is different when it comes to reactions to those things.

  • And I have to bring this up to with this video just because I found myself in a position Ah, few years ago, where I felt completely helpless when it came to my skin and when it came to a lot of other things that were happening to me at the time.

  • It turns out that I have PCOS.

  • I've mentioned that a little bit here, if you are familiar with my channel, and one thing that I have seen, the biggest change in for me, naturally, is just paying attention to what I eat.

  • So what I did, I think this is such a cool secret.

  • If you just want to own this is if you open up one of those family planning APS like the ones that track your cycle.

  • There's one that I use called Kundera, and what I like about it is that I'm able to track my temperatures.

  • So what I did when I was having, like, 60 days cycles I was feeling very just on his li menopausal in my twenties is I tracked my temperature's every single day, and I did that for months on end.

  • And while doing that, I also eliminated most things for my diet.

  • I went on a candied a diet with no added, like animal products or anything, just to start adding things back to my diet to see how my temperatures would change.

  • And you should see if I can find the old charts, I'll show you.

  • But it was like I would I would go from being completely normal, and then I would start to eat something like Chicken, and then that chicken would make my temper's go woo.

  • And it doesn't bring me a lot of joy to talk about diets on online like I feel like it's a very sensitive and personal topic.

  • Ah, but I just could not believe the data in front of me when it came to what foods affected me more than others, and my body is probably different than your body.

  • So I really think that it's important to assess those things for yourself.

  • There's lots of other factors, so really study deeply into that.

  • But after doing that, not only did I get my cycles back to being like normal whom or less 30 days cycles, But I also was able to clear out my skin and having those breakouts before was my skin telling me that like something was going on and I've been able to resolve so much of my PCOS symptoms through diet through exercise.

  • And also, I always try to drink enough water in the day, and seeing the actual water inside the water bottle has been Another thing that's really helped me a lot is because I can actually see it, and it just motivates me to drink more water.

  • So, yeah, just talking through with all of my different doctors and dietitians.

  • They all said that diet does play a role in how everybody's bodies function, and it is something that people could just react very differently from one another to So, yeah, um, ultimately noticing food and exercise is effects on my skin has been so huge.

  • Exercising every day has brought a lot more just fluids and moving my lymphatic system.

  • I feel like such a nerd thing, lymphatic system.

  • But having that sort of like movement around my body has been able to really flush out a lot of toxins through that.

  • And then also, just whenever I do work out, I'm really particular about, you know, getting my face clean, like making sure that I shower right away.

  • And don't put that off because sometimes, like if you're just going to the gym and then you just you've still got all of the sweaty clothes on and everything that can really affect your skin as well.

  • So these are all of the skin care secrets that I have learned through trial and error through literally looking at data with my temperature's every morning.

  • It's a really cool little trick that I've used that really helped me with my skin, and I'm sort of on this adventure of moving from being in more acne prone skin conditions, toe having more of like what do I do?

  • Now that my skin is calm down, How do I continually keep it calm and then also trying to prevent wrinkles?

  • Another thing, too, is again that SPF is really important.

  • Um, I like to use some sort of studying spray with 50 SPF, and then I also try to put on at least, like, 15 SPF on my skin.

  • So those are all my tips?

  • Hopefully, they were helpful.

  • Not usually the things I talk about on here, and by no means am I a skin care professional.

  • But nobody knows your skin, like, you know, your skin.

  • And I definitely feel that way about myself.

  • So yeah, if you like this sort of video something a little bit different than the typical fashion content.

  • You sure you give it a thumbs up and I will talk to guys next time.
