-After you finished your tour,
you went to go see Guns N' Roses...
-I did. -...and said it was
one of the best nights of your life.
-It was. -Explain that to me.
Why was it the best night?
-Well, our tour wrapped,
and we were nowhere near Las Vegas.
So, naturally I said, "Let's g to Las Vegas with the band..
-Yeah. -...and go see GNR play."
'Cause it's kind of a lifelong dream of mine
I never thought would happen
and I couldn't waste that opportunity.
So I abandoned my husband, abandoned my children,
went to Vegas... -Yeah!
-...and saw Guns N' Roses. -That's what I'm talking about
-Amazing! [ Cheers and applause ]
-And what was it -- What was it like?
They're amazing live. -They are.
Well, usually when I go to concerts,
I'm, like, in a box on the side.
-Sure, yeah. -You know, which is great.
It has its perks.
There's usually a bathroom i there, and it's kind of awesome.
But you miss the energy of the crowd.
-Sure. -And because we were in Vegas,
I mean, we were just kind of in there with everybody else
And it was absolutely incredible
because it was just like - you could feel everybody.
Everybody was screaming. I was screaming.
I was like, "I'm never gonna see none of these people ever again!
I'm gonna act like a fool!
And it was amazing.
-Did you get to meet the band at all?
-I mean, I might have, like, hung out with Axl
after the show a little bit.
-[ Laughs ] Oh, my God.
I love how you've become, like, a Valley girl.
Like, "Yeah, I might have seen him. I dunno.
Axl Rose was there and..."
-I do always say, like, you know,
it's hard when you kind of meet your heroes, you know
Because I do consider him
to be somebody who kind of taught me how to sing.
Because I just loved how he could just do
different things with his voice. -Yeah.
-And I was like, "Oh, I don't know. I don't know.
What if I meet him and he's no everything I want him to be?
But he was. So it was great.
-He was cool, right? Yeah. -He was super cool.
He's great and nice, and we talked.
And we're best friends.
-I wanted to -- You're best friends. I love it
I want to talk about Fit52 Lif and what you're doing with this.
This is your whole new brand really, I mean, which is -
Why'd -- How'd you get into this?
-Well, I have been kind of falling more and more
in love with health and fitness,
really just over the past 15 years.
-Sure. -And I started five years ag
working with Dick's Sporting Goods to make CALIA,
which is... -That's right.
-...the clothing brand that we design and make.
And I'm super-proud of it an celebrating our fifth birthday
So it's just kind of, like ever since that door opene
and I started doing that, it's just evolved more,
so we decided to write a book.
-We started a thing on our sho called "Use It and Lose It"...
-Yes. -...this whole month.
-It's not the same at all. -No. It's not.
Yeah, this is all -- Yeah.
But have you ever bought any o those things where it's like -
Something on -- Bowflex or any of that stuff that on TV
-I haven't, but my mom had some things growing up
I remember she had the Thigh Master.
-Yes! That's what I'm talking about! Yes!
What was that -- Like, you just would --
-Yeah. -The Thigh Master.
-While you're watching TV, just, you know...
-Just no big deal. Yeah. -Just work. Work out.
-Get a couple crunches in. Yeah, Suzanne Somers, I think,
was the spokesperson for the Thigh Master.
I love -- We gotta shoot a Thigh Master.
That's what I want to get, one of those gems.
-You could also, like, launch stuff off of it
if you really wanted to do
-No, that's not what you want to do at all.
-Put, like, a ball on it. Push it down. Catapult.
-And launch things across the room. Yeah.
There's no Thigh Master in here at all.
-No, there's not. -No.
-We could bring it back, though. -You could.
I was looking through this
and there's tons of fun exercises, recipes.
But this page right here, I was like --
You guys wanna see?
-You like mama's guns there? -Look at the gun!
Look at the -- Look at that! -Yeah!
[ Cheers and applause ] -Look at that!
-Welcome to the gun show! -Come on, man!
-Yeah! -Come on!
That's what I'm talking about!
Yeah, maybe he'll think before he cheats.
Come on! Look at that!
Come on. Look at that. -I work hard.
I love muscles. I love feeling strong.
That's my baby arm, though, too.
-That's not even the big arm
-No, no. No, no, no. Sorry -Oh.
-I carry the baby on that side of my body.
-Oh, sorry, sorry. I thought you had a baby arm
I thought you had a baby arm and big arm.
-No, that's why they're on - -'Cause I do.
I have a baby arm. -I only work one side.
-This one's weaker than this one, but this one --
'Cause I play a lot of, like "Golden Tee" and stuff,
and I bowl with this one and stuff,
so this is my baby arm.
-All moms out there know, though.
You have one arm that's stronger than the other
'Cause you carry your kid on that side.
-Yeah, and that's the stronger one.
-Yep. -Yeah, I think I'm kind of --
-We only photograph from this side.
-There's also a thing called the Fit52 app.
-Yeah. -Now, explain what this is
'Cause I think it's a cool idea.
-Well, we started with the workout in the book.
And it's something that my trainer, Eve Overland, and I
have been doing for a long time.
And it's kind of been a game
that's been in the fitness community for a long time.
-I've never heard of it. -Really?
-No. -Well. you use a deck of cards
and each suit is a certain exercise.
And you -- Oops. He just happens to have one.
-Yeah. -So, you would draw a card
And it's usually -- This to me is cardio.
Spades are cardio.
-Oh, so every suit is a different exercise.
-Yeah. This is the way I do it You can do it any way you want
Diamonds are upper body,
hearts are lower body 'cause it's like a little booty.
Clubs are core. And then spades are cardio
-Wow. -So, if you did this,
you'd be doing 12 of something cardio-esque.
-Like, what would we do? Would you like to --
I'll do something. -Yeah.
I mean, I'm in some heels, and you're in a suit,
but let's work out!
[ Cheers and applause ]
That's right. I wear heels, too. Yeah.
-You could do some skaters Do you know skaters?
-Uh, no.
-I'm not going to be able to properly demonstrate skaters.
-You want me to do it? I can do it.
You can teach me how to do it. -You do like this.
Normally I'm in -- Yeah. -Like that?
-Yeah. You do them bigger.
[ Cheers and applause ] Yeah. Six...
-Together: 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12.
-We should do a musical together.
That was a good dance move -Yeah, that was fun!
-Like Fred Astaire. This is awesome. I love it
Carrie Underwood, everybody.
[ Cheers and applause ]
