When I applied to UAL I ended up
uploading a portfolio online and after
I applied I got a phone interview that
I took with the head of my program and
shortly after that everything was
confirmed and it went pretty smoothly after that
It was a little tricky at the
beginning moving here but there was a
lot of support within the school to help you
I had an airport pick up when I first
moved here and that ended up being a
lifesaver because there's just so much
you try and take with you when you move
and I found living in halls the first
year actually really helpful for meeting
people and UAL plans a lot of events
so it's a great way to like get introduced to London
and once you get to know it, it's great
I would say if you're going to move
to London and come study at UAL
and you're not from the UK I would
say make use of your college for taking
care of yourself getting access to
different kinds of things you need that you
don't even realize that you need like
getting a doctor or getting help
with financial aid or if something's
going on you can find access to like
counseling services and you know UAL
has so many wonderful resources here we
have so many workshops and libraries and
access to so many different like free
things that you can do, are some of like
the best ways to get used to living here
being a student at UAL has changed me
as a person in every possible way the
project that I'm working right now in
theater design is we're designing an
entire project, storyboards, costume designs, set
for either an opera or a play and
London is incredible for doing that
because as an artist it's really
incredible to have the opportunity to
have so many different influences that
you couldn't possibly imagine until you get here
