Is it weird I love weather like this?

Anyway, my first full day here and I thought I start off with some street food

at one of the oldest markets in the world

I'm here at the Borough Market which is some shape or form has been around for over a 1,000 years

I know this place is a little tourist-y but I also feel like is one of those places where you gotta visit

right now i'm starving, it's got food, let's go eat.

ロンドンにいるなら足を運ぶべき 場所って感じがするね。

there are a ton of food stalls here

いま腹ペコで、食べ物もあることだし、

the first thing i want since i'm in London

じゃあ食べに行きましょう。

let's get a meat pie!

ここはたくさん出店があるね。

there's steak pie, bacon pie, chicken pie, ve-vegan pie

せっかくのロンドンだし、最初はミートパイを食べようか。

we'll stay away from that

ステーキパイに、ベーコンパイ、 チキンパイ、 ビ…ビーガンパイ

this is gonna get really messy

because i'm tryna do this with one hand

but let's try this out

i totally just ruined the crust but let me just take a big o' bite here

that first bite

that is exactly what i needed on a day like this

crust, crunchy and flaky

is just so

immensely meaty

mash potato is wonderfully creamy

maybe i shouldn't have started with this

マッシュポテトもすごくクリーミーだ。

because this is a really substantial meal

これ最初に食べないようが良かったかも、

this is such a rustic dish

だってこれけっこうな肉の量だった。

meat and potatoes and pie crust

素朴な料理だね。

but if you want a hearty, meaty, make you feel good

肉とポテトとパイ皮。

kind of dish especially on a cold, rainy day

豪快な肉料理が食べたい人は満足できると思うよ。

don't have to look further than this

特に寒い雨の日にはいいね。

i don't typically do this but i got the vegan version as well

これ以上は見なくていいよ。

because this is the one that they won a bunch of awards for

僕は基本的には食べないんだけど、 ビーガンバージョンも買ってみたよ。

and i got it without the gravy so i can really taste the crust

だってコレはたくさんの賞を獲得してるパイだから、

it's carrots, tomatoes, onions and all sorts of other veggies

あと皮のパリパリを味わう為に、 ソースは無しにしてみたよ。

and it's cooked in a red wine sauce

ニンジン、トマト、玉ねぎに その他の野菜が、

i think what make this so good

赤ワインソースで仕上げてある。

and it's a big part of it

大きく引き立ててるのは、

and without the gravy dripping all over it

このバタークラスとだと思う。

you can really tell how flaky and crispy and buttery the crust is

グレイビーソースがけ無しにすれば、

i don't know if you guys can hear the crunch but

このバタークラストのパリパリサクサク感が 良くわかると思うよ。

you can put most things inside this crust and it would taste good

the filling

この皮に適当になにか詰めれば、 それだけで美味くなるだろうね。

すごくトマトっぽい

i think in terms of just pure flavours

すごく良いて強い、

this is better than the meat pie

純粋に味に関して言えば、

can't believe i'm saying that right now

これはミートパイよりも良いと思うよ。

and it has lots to do with the gravy and sauce these veggies are cooked in

僕がこんなこと言うなんて信じられないけど、

just so thick and flavourful and fragrant

あとこの肉汁と煮こまれた野菜がすごくマッチして、

that wrapped in a crispy pie crust

すごく濃厚で風味豊かで香り高くて、

i can see why this is a winner

カリカリのパイ生地に包まれてる。

still wish there's some meat in here though

どうして受賞するか納得できる。

and the pork is just ridiculously juicy and tender

i can tell just by squeezing on my hands!

and as you saw they put a lot of pork in this wrap

what your biggest fear is that it's dry

i mean this pork is moist as this country's weather

and what's so incredibly genius of them is that

they wrap some grains around the meat which not only prevented it from making the wrap all soggy

it provides that needed crunch

also there's some sort of apple sauce in here as well

next thing i got. scorched egg

this thing got cold really quickly

made with chorizo sausages on the outside

外側はチョリソーソーセージで、

little salt and pepper

nice colouring in the egg. it's just

it's actually pretty good

spicy, egg yolk's creamy

i think it would be much better if it was pipin' hot

熱々だったらもっと良かったかもしれないけど。

このチョリソーの辛味が好きだね。

also don't sleep on the baker's market

あとこのパン屋は外さないように、

and this place suppose to have amazing donuts

ここで素晴らしいドーナツが食べられるでしょう。

ahh this is going to be awesome

and then the caramel please

あとキャラメルをください。

i don't think i've been this excited about a donut for a long time

ドーナツでこんなワクワクするなんて 長い間なかったよ。

just from holding this in my hand, i know this is going to be a really airy doughnut

こうやって手に持ってるだけで、 すごくフワフワなドーナツってわかるよ。

it feels so light

すごく軽い。

the cream inside tastes absolutely gorgeous

中のクリームは抜群に美味しい。

これは色んなスパイスの味がするね。

can taste the different types of spices

クリームは良く冷えてて、

the cream is soo cool

それほどミルクっぼくなくて、

and not overly milky

全然多すぎでもない。

and not overwhelming at all

なんというかあと少しで、 あともう少しで爽やかなドーナツ

it's almost like it's almost refreshing

このフワフワ具合がわかるかな

the doughnut

まだ中にこんなにあるって気づかなかった、

you can see how airy this is

全体がすごく軽く感じるから

and i didn't even know there still was something inside this

クリームもそれだけ軽いってことだ。

the whole thing feels so incredibly light

天使達が作ったものが天国から降りてきたみたいだ。

and that goes to show how light the cream is

ラムレーズンも中に入ってた。

it's like angels made this and they floated down from heaven

これは手作りジャム入りで、

there's rum raisin inside this as well

これはちょっと重さがあるね。

this is filled with homemade jam and this one feels like it has a little weight to it

このドーナツには天使のクリームは入ってないな。

none of that angelic cream inside of this doughnut

甘くて酸っぱい新鮮なラズベリージャム 。

sweet and tangy and fresh raspberry jam

でも言わせてもらうと、

but i gotta say

さっきのクリームほど良くはないね。

definitely not as good as the cream

キャラメル、

the caramel

たぶんこれは世界で唯一のドーナツだろうね。

these are probably the only doughnuts in the world that

食べれば食べるほど、

the more you eat,

軽くなる。

the lighter you become

キャラメルクリームが中に入ってる

the caramel cream inside

誰かに静脈注射してもらって、 これを直接血液に流し込みたいよ。

i just want someone to IV me up and pump this thing directly into my blood stream

これはお気に入りだ。

that's my favourite

言わずもがなだけどここに来たなら このドーナツショップに行かなきゃ損だよ。

この店は鴨のコンフィを出してるね。

this store is serving duck confit

これが僕の鴨サンドイッチ、もうはみ出してる。

this is my duck sandwich and it's just overflowing

鴨サンドイッチは初めてだ。見てよこの量のすごさ。

never had a duck sandwich before but look how massive this thing is

ここいっぱい骨がある。

there's a lot of bones in here!

味は本当に良いんだけど、

the flavour is really good

パサついてた所食べたから、

but it's a bit on the dry side

真ん中の方を食べてみようか

let me try to bite from the middle

こっちのほうが美味しい

it's better

チャツネは好きだし、

i like the chunni

味全体は完璧。

again the overall flavour is on point

初日ならもっと美味しく感じたかもしれないけど、

maybe if i got it in the beginning of the day would have been better

今はちょっとパサついてる。

but right now, a lil dry

ちょっと残念だね。

kind of disappointing

すごく期待してたんだけど、

i had really really high hopes for this

見た目も本当に美味しそうだから 鴨の肉の脂の味を期待してたけど、

i mean it looked really really good and i was really hoping for a greasy fatty bite of duck and

そうじゃなかった。

it just didn't happen here

チーズいっぱいの香りがしてて、

i'm smelling something super cheesy

目に入ったのはこれ

and look what i found

今まで見た中で最高に美しい泡だよね？

is that not the most beautiful bubbles you have ever seen

すぐ食べなきゃ

gotta eat this quick

パリの小さなクラブの所で食べたものよりも はるかにチーズって感じだ

this is far more cheese than the little club place that i went to in Paris

チーズと皮付きポテトに塩コショウにピクルス。

cheese with the rind over potatoes, salt and pepper, some pickles

クリーミーだね。

that is creamy

ポテトは少し焼いたような風味がある

potatoes seems to have a slightly grilled flavour

あのチーズにただ抱きしめられたいな

i just want to be hugged by that cheese

ピクルスと完璧にあっていて、

perfectly paired with the pickles

これが次のチーズを食べる準備になってる

that just gets your mouth ready for another cheesy bite

このチーズのクオリティーも、

quality of this cheese too

いい香りで、すごくミルキー、

really fragrant, incredibly milky

塩加減も完璧で

perfect amount of saltiness

ポテトに合ってる。

with these potatoes

本当に素晴らしいバランスの一品料理だね。

this is actually a great balance plate of food

ちょっとチーズっぽすぎると思って、

just when you think it's getting a little too cheesy,

もう無理ってなったとしても、

even though it's not possible

ピクルスが引き戻してくれる。

the pickles brings you right back

チーズがちょっとトーストされてる所もあって、

there's some bites where the cheese a little toasty

チーズの焦げは大好き。

god, i love burnt cheese

ここには有名なソルトビーフサンドイッチの 屋台がたくさんあるんだけど、

there are also a lot of stalls here obviously for the famous salsa beef sandwich

これは別の場所に行く予定があるから、

but i already got a place somewhere to go to for that so

ここでは食べません。

im not going to have it here

ここに２時間くらい居て、

i've been here about 2 hours now

ノンストップで食べてきた気がする。

and i feel like i've been pretty much eating non-stop

だけど何でだろう、まだ腹ぺこなんだよ。

but how come i still feel so hungry

何にも食べてないような気がするんだ。

feel like i haven't been eating anything

普通ならこれは都合が良いんだけど、

i mean normally this is a good problem to have

でも食べ物にいっぱいお金使っちゃった。

but i spent a lot on food already

このマーケット大好きだな。

i love this market

たくさん食べ物の屋台、生鮮食品とかがあって

there's ton of food stalls like fresh produce

他のマーケットと比べると

and get that compared to other markets

結構高いんだけど、

it's pretty pricey but the food

でも食事は今まで食べてきた中で

most of what i had

かなりの美味さだったよ。

extremely delicious

特にポークサンドイッチとドーナツ。

especially that pork sandwich and that doughnut

ここ全体フードの感じが凄く好き。

and i love the whole food vibe here

みんな食事だけが目的で ここへ足を運んでるみたいなんだ、

it seems like everybody's coming here for the sole purpose of eating

ここで出会った、食べてる人達やお店の人達も皆 超超いい感じだったし、

and everyone i met from the people eating here to the vendors are super super nice

なんか親戚家族みんなで ごちそう食べてるみたいな感じだったね。

it's almost like having a big meal with extended family

それこそがフードなんだ。

and that's the thing with food

気持よく、幸せにしてくれて、 皆の心を繋げてくれるんだよ。

it just makes you feel better, happier, is a great uniter of people

this country definitely doesn't skimp on the meat in any of their sandwiches

this is better than i thought
