Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Quotes 224. The quote today is by Plato. The
Greek philosopher and here's the quote. "The greatest wealth is to live content
with little. " Content of course means satisfied. So if we can be satisfied with
little. Well you'll probably have less things to worry about.
I guess that's the idea. So let's look at the note here. Now there are different
types of wealth you know, money of course is one type of wealth. You know, family is
another. Happiness is another. Health could be another. So that there are
others. Let's continue. Plato was basically trying to say, if you could be
satisfied with a lot less, your life will be less complicated and
less stressful. Assuming you know, you have at least the basic amount of money
you know, you have enough money to cover your basic expenses. So that you have a
roof over your head. You know you're not starving and you're not starving or ill.
Yeah. Well then being satisfied with little would probably give you more free
time to enjoy the simple things in life such as family, nature, growing stronger
bonds, relationships with people etc. If you have a lot of wealth, sometimes that
comes with headaches too. As well, you may have to worry about protecting your
wealth or possibly losing your wealth too. And we can look at this part. Even if you, even if
you have material wealth if you're still it's still not a bad idea to be content
with less. Then you will be less likely to squander this money that you got. Your
wealth and you could keep a lower profile too. So you don't attract the
wrong people or you don't provoke jealousy or something like that. It's
still a good idea to just be satisfied with less.
if you're satisfied with less then you're less likely to have jealousy.
You're less likely to have more, more troubles and you're more likely to just
be you know, happier in your life.Okay anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it was clear.
Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
