This idiom refers to something that exists or happens for a short period of time and then seems to suddenly disappear or go away. Or we have a second meaning where you can come and then depart again. So somebody could literally come and then leave. So it has both meanings. Let's look at the first example here. My chronic back pain comes and goes. Some days are better than others. So this, this one will continue to return and then go away again. Continue to return and then go away. So we often mean it in that way. It comes and goes. So it may repeatedly come and go. All right. Let's look at number 2 here. Prime Ministers come and go, but the royal family continues to keep their position , their positions decade after decade or maybe even century after century. They just go on and on, but Prime Minister's come and go all the time. Every four years or five years or however long they last. Okay. Number three. Fashions come and go all the time. Sometimes an older fashion may even make a comeback after a few decades. Yeah. So we hear this one a lot with fashion. We often say fashions come and go. They're here and then they're gone. Before you know it. What happened ? It's over. Ah ! That's out of fashion already. Okay good. And number four. This is you know to the second meaning here. MR. Smith already came and went for the day. You will have to try to catch him tomorrow. So I don't maybe somebody wanted to see a doctor. Or somebody they went there and he already left for the day. He came in he was there for a while. For a number of hours, but he already left he already went home. Okay. So he came and went. Anyway, I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
