Let's look at the note here. If someone passes off a person or oneself, they try to pretend someone or someone is or a particular type of person is that person. So let's review that again. If someone passes off a person on oneself they pretend to be someone or a particular type of person he or she is not. So they're trying to pretend that they are somebody who they are really not. If someone tries to pass off a particular thing as something else, he or she pretends it is that thing. Okay. So let's look at example number one. He got arrested for trying to pass off counterfeit bills as genuine bills. So here he's trying to pass off a fake thing as a real thing. So the counterfeit bills is fake money and he tried to pass it off as real money. So you could say he tried to pass off a 100 US dollar bill. A counterfeit 100 US dollar bill as a genuine one. Okay. Let's look at number two. That company fired her because they discovered she tried to pass off a fake diploma as a real one. So she handed it in. She thought she could get a fake diploma or maybe she thought they would never check, and they did check. And they discovered it. So they found out that she tried to pass off a fake diploma as a real diploma. All right. Let's look at number three. Frank Abigail is the real person who Leonardo DiCaprio played in the old movie "Catch Me If You Can. " Remember Tom Hanks was the policeman in that one too. In the movie, the character tried to pass himself off as, well first it was a teacher. He was trying to pretend he was the substitute teacher. A pilot, a doctor, and a lawyer. So in this case this is a person trying to pass themselves off as something else. Something they are not, especially in this case of profession that they are not. And then this the real guy in real life tried had not only tried to do it but actually did it successfully quite a few times. And, and you see him do it. You see Leonardo, Leonardo DiCaprio's character you know, do it in the movie quite a few times as well. Anyway I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
