  • Hi this is Tutor Nick P and this is Quotes 189. We're doing another one today

  • by Mark Twain. Yeah. if you liked this one remember that I've done a lot more by

  • him. You could check him out. He, he always has a good quote. But anyway. Let's look

  • at today's quote. If you tell the truth you don't have to remember anything.

  • Basically it means you don't have to remember your lies. But let's take a look

  • at the note here. There is a lot of truth to this quote. Once you tell one lie or

  • get in the habit of lying, you'll often have to tell more lies. Sometimes to

  • cover your previous lies. Okay. Of course this can lead to a series of lies. If you

  • get up to this point. It could get hard to keep track of your lies. So if you lie

  • a lot. You got to remember. Well, what you got to keep track. You got to like almost

  • write it down and what lies because if you don't, maybe eventually the people

  • you're lying to will say, hey this doesn't make sense. You've said this and

  • this and this cannot be true at the same time. Okay. So you might get caught in a

  • lie. You may eventually end up being a perpetual liar. You know, somebody

  • that just lies all the time. Sooner or later, you will probably get caught in

  • one or more lies. If you are not careful you will become a compulsive liar. Well,

  • it almost becomes like an addiction to you , and you may end up starting to

  • believe your own lies. A lot of people that do lie a lot, they lie so much that

  • they can almost practically change their memories and think that the lies are the

  • truth. Because they've in their head, they've gone over those lies so many

  • times. So be careful of that. However others probably see through you. They can

  • see it . If you want to avoid all this, listen to Mark Twain. Tell the truth and

  • you don't have to remember anything. So remember when he's saying, You don't

  • have to remember anything. He means you don't have to remember your web of lies.

  • Your series of lies . Your connected lies. Because the more lies you tell, the

  • more complicated it gets. The more you have to

  • hold in your memory, and you have to be able to continue with the lies that

  • cover all the other lies. So if you just tell the truth, you don't have to fuss.

  • You don't have to think about all that. Just tell the truth. Okay. Anyway, I hope

  • you got it. I hope it is clear. I hope hope it was informative. Thank you for your time. Bye-

  • bye.
