If someone is doing a juggling act , he or she is performing a task or dealing with a situation that involves dealing with several different things at the same time. Okay. Let's look at number one. In modern times women often have to perform a juggling act by handling a career, married life, taking on a lion's share of the housework ... Well you know . most of the time in most families and remember the lion's share means most of it. It doesn't mean they're doing all of it. But they're probably still doing the majority of housework and doing the main child rearing. You know, raising the children. You know usually they're usually more at the forefront than the father. But again both of them may be doing it. But still it's not easy trying to do all these things at the same time. So trying to handle it all, especially if you've got a very competitive career is kind of like doing a juggling act. We often hear that. All right. Let's look at number two. As a supervisor I sometimes must perform a juggling act between keeping my workers and management happy at the same time. Yeah. well that's if you're a good supervisor that really cares about your workers. You really want them to be happy. As well and then you got to keep management happy at the same time. Then you might sometimes have to feel like you're doing a little bit of a juggling act. And, and of course here let's look at the last part of this note. This noun phrase derives from the idea of literally doing a juggling act. You like the performer or juggler who keeps throwing balls up trying to hold up a lot of balls up at the same time. That's what we say is a juggling act. So we often say when you try to do a lot of things all at the same time, we might call it ... it's like a juggling act. Trying to keep a lot of people happy or you know trying to handle a lot of things or it's a number of things all at the same time. Anyway , I hope you got it. I hope it's clear. Thank you for your time. Bye-bye.
