So many people ask me what is MIS?

Is it MIss or is it management information system or is it managing information system or is it the information system management?

Well, I am here to clear all doubts about the same

MIS as termed is Management Information System and it is a people's process in order to improve business processes.

We use Technology for the same.

Technological innovations whatsoever have been implemented,in the market, are used and created for improving the business processes.

These technological innovations are used in the form of prototypes and they are implemented and tested and then checked

whether the planning which has been done for the organization is actually coming out to be the same which was preplanned.

Also,MIS helps you interact with the world.

How exactly?

Well, we talk about security, we talk about connecting, we talk about people, we talk about how exactly all this is combined together and makeup the part of an organization.

MIS also lets you help and know how the top management actually interacts with the lowest level, not by words but through the processes.

It also lets you help how exactly they go ahead and combine together coherently and makeup a complete system.

MIS, gives you the access to the information of an organization utilize it

and develop it towards the betterment of the organization, the employees as well as the users i.e. the customers.

MIS is typically not for programmers.

You don't need to know programming to know MIS.

Only have to do is , you have to have a charm and a niche for knowing, how people behave in an environment.

What exactly intrigues them to make something better, and,whatever technological

implementations are there, how they can be used together to take decisions for the organization.

In simple words, if you are people's people and you wanted to work towards the betterment of your company, MIS helps you do that.

It gives you tools and technologies like flowcharts, prototypes, DFD's etc. in order to take a planned objective and create a model for that.

Once the model is created that model is implemented and compared with the Planned One.

These kind of things keep on happening.

For example, a sales report, that's a part of MIS or you can talk about a sales report of an organization which is dealing in cars.

Or, you can talk about an implemented report in the form of The generated revenues.

These all things are a part of MIS.

Do you need to be Computer savvy for that?

Well I doubt that.

But yes, you need to know for sure how exactly these planning's by the higher management have to be implemented, coherently, systematically, in order to achieve targets.

It's simply, Management Information System, where all the information is coming, how it is used, so that it can be distributed and seen by all the levels of the organizations in whatsoever form they require.
