and smell a strong seaside smell.

Cigu Lagoon is an exposed remaining of

a shoal in the Old Taijiang Inner Sea.

It's called “the inner sea” by local residents.

Fishers raise oysters and catch fishes here,

and this is why Cigu is famous for its seafood.

It would be a pity if we just appreciate the lagoon standing on shore.

This is Wangzailiao sandbar.

Although there is a path leading people to here,

there's no water nor electricity supply, and no one lives here.

Walking along the path, you can see mangroves as well as

the scenery of Taiwan Strait.

Seriously, it was hot to stay in that sandbank.

Right now, we're going to have some barbecue.

Well, actually it is to grill some oysters, to taste some seafood.

Taking a boat tour around the lagoon and having some grilled oysters

are popular activities here in Cigu.

There is a bustling community called “Longshan.”

You can talk a walk in the community

and get to know what it looks like to live in a fishing village.

The seafood congee is really worth it.

You can even feel the affection of the owner.

In this store, the seafood congee is not the only thing you can eat.

Let's go to the Cigu Salt Mountain!

I'm in the Salt Mountain at Cigu,

I'm going to introduce you Miss Yang, the manger here.

This is my first time to come here,

so what is your suggestion to take a look around here?

There are a lot of funs here at the salt mountain.

We have many amusement rides here

as well as local dishes.

Let me show you around.

The most popular sport among young tourists here

is water golf.

Okay, that sounds really good. Let's go!

I know golf, but I don't know the golf that plays on water.

Anyway, it's my turn to give it a try.

Water golf is so much fun!

You can hear tourists laughing as they play the golf.

It's very suitable for friends to play together.

In addition, there is this cute kiddy train.

I've already jumped on this tiny little train,

so right now, let's go on this tour to find out what we can see.

The train makes a circle tour around the park,

and you can enjoy the views of the park on it.

Adults and kids are both suitable for the train tour!

In addition, there is a shuttle bus

to Taiwan Salt Museum.

As you take the tourism train,

you get to appreciate the scenery of both the park

and Cigu area.

You can make a tofu by yourself at Cigu Salt Mountain.

To make tofu with nigari,

first we need sugar-free soy milk

and nigari tofu coagulant.

As for tools, we need a tofu mold

and three pots.

Now we're ready to make tofu.

First, heat 1000cc sugar-free soy milk with a double boiler

until you see tofu skin on the surface .

Add 6cc of nigari in another pot,

so the soy bean milk and nigari ration is 1000:6.

Next, pour the heated sugar-free soy bean milk

to the pot with nigari, and mix them evenly.

After this, pour the mixture into the tofu mold

and cover it with a piece of cloth.

Wait for 20 minutes and we're done!

Look at this, the tofu that I just made, so beautiful.

It's good, and nice. Really soft.

In addition to tofu,

we can also make douhua (tofu pudding)!

This one is great, too.

They put some black sugar and it tastes really sweet.

It just like the normal tofu pudding, it's great.

Nigari is a mineral solution made from concentrated sea water.

It's a natural coagulant

that can be used to make tofu and douhua.

You can also add it into coffee.

Well, let me tell you, everything here is salt added,

so of course, this coffee as well.

But this latte, it tastes just a little bit salty.

Somehow, it's so amazing that

a little bit salt makes this coffee taste not bitter.

And there is one more thing.

Because the Nigari-salt is added into it,

the latte has some minor minerals,

(makes it) more healthier.

A tour to the salt mountain is not complete

without a salty popsicle.

As you can see, there are some nuts on top of it.

As you can see these yellow dots, that is the salted yolk.

So, it is a salty ice-pop.

This one is also nice, I love it.

As you come to the salt mountain, of course

you have to climb the salt mountain.
