Hi, everybody. My name is LaShonna and today I will teach you how to dance like Shakira.
Shakira is an amazing performer who uses a lot of belly dancing in her movement. So today
I'm going to teach you a routine that's inspired by Shakira as well as belly dancing. Okay?
We're going to start with our right leg a little bit ahead of us so that we're evenly
distributed amongst our feet. Left arm in the air, right arm behind you. In this position
we lift our hips up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, four times. Then we do the same
thing but a little bit faster. So we go up, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, then faster,
faster, faster, faster.
From here we're going to take our arm out to the side and our left arm out. Our arms
are out and the only thing that moves here is our waist and hips isolating four times.
Push right, one. Push left, two. Push right, three. Push left, four.
Let's put that together so far. One arm up, the other arm down. Here we go. One, two,
three, four. Faster, faster, faster, faster. Arm, arm, isolate the hips four times. We're
going to back to facing side with a little booty shimmy. Four. Four counts of that. Once
again, that's shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy.
Then we do chest and hands. Chest, chest, hands, hands, hands. So that's chest, chest,
hands, hands, hands. Again, chest, chest, hands, hands, hands. Let's put the whole thing
together so we can dance like Shakira. One arm up, the other arm down. Slow, one, two,
three, four. Faster shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy, shimmy. Arm, arm,
isolate the hips side to side. Booty scoot. Chest, chest, hands.
Let's do it one more time a little faster. Six, seven, eight. Faster. Arm, arm. Booty
scoot. Chest, chest. Awesome job. And now you know how to dance like Shakira.
