TIA: After a couple weeks of back and forth between Eminem and Machine Gun Kelly, Em finally responded
Em finally responded on “Killshot.”
TIA: Eminem's been teasing his response in a multi-part interview series with Sway.
EMINEM: As irrelevant as people say I am in hip-hop, I make them bigger by getting into
this thing where I'm like I wanna destroy him.
TIA: Em is not shy about his dislike for some of the younger generation of so-called mumble rappers,
even though Machine Gun Kelly doesn't exactly fit into that group.
TIA: Eminem is no stranger to rap beef.
Over his career, he's battled everyone, from Ja Rule to Benzino and even Mariah Carey.
So he was bound to get at MGK.
TIA: While the feud between Em and Machine Gun Kelly actually began a few years ago with a tweet
and his line on a Tech N9ne song, its most recent addition was MGK's “Rap Devil.”
TIA: …which was a response to Eminem's “Not Alike” from his surprise album, 'Kamikaze.'
TIA: On “Rap Devil,” MGK talks about being banned from Em's Shade 45 radio station,
which Em confirmed in his interview with Sway—along with other things.
EMINEM: I don't give a fuck about your career, you think I actually fuckin think about you?
You know how many fucking rappers that are better than you?
TIA: But Machine Gun Kelly isn't the only name drop.
Em also mentions P. Diddy a few times, probably because MGK is signed
to Diddy's Bad Boy Records.
DIDDY: We don't talk about things that are nonsense.
We don't even entertain nonsense my brother.
TIA: Eminem ends “Killshot” by referencing his 2000 track, “Kill You,”
another song with multiple targets.
TIA: After almost two weeks of waiting for his response, Eminem's giving his fans what
they want.
