And today we are going to take a look at a common greeting

"How are you doing?" and how to respond to it.

Hey Cory. How are you doing?

I'm going to class.

Woah. That was really weird, wasn't it?

Yeah, it was.

Why is that?

Well, even though this greeting has the word "doing" in it,

it doesn't actually mean we want to know what you are doing.

Exactly. Actually,

"How are you doing?" has exactly the same meaning as "How are you?"

So, you can respond to it in the exact same way

as you would with "How are you?," right?

Right!

Let's take a look at how Cory should have responded to this greeting.

Hey Cory. How are you doing?

I'm doing well. How about you?

I'm good.
