They're really common. Everyone uses them.

I use them all the time and I really do hope you'll find good use for them.

私もよく使い、みなさんに役立てたらと思います。

So the first word we're going to learn is bugger.

では、まず最初の単語は、「bugger：しまった！くそ！」

It's a very popular word.

これはとてもよく使われている単語です。

I'm sure you've heard it before.

聞いたことがあると思います。

If not, go to England and I'm sure you're hear it.

もしなければ、ぜひイギリスに来てみてください、よく聞きますよ。

You'll hear it everywhere.

あちこちで聞きます。

So this word has many meanings.

この単語は、たくさんの意味があります。

I'd advise you - be careful when you use it and to whom.

Maybe around friends is the best idea.

友達の間で使うのがベストですね。

I use it as an exclamation.

If I've dropped something, I missed the train...

Maybe, I forgot my phone at home.

I'll say, "bugger!"

「bugger!：しまった！くそ！」

It sounds really good.

The next word is Cheers.

次は「Cheers：ありがとう」です。

This means "Thank you."

これは「ありがとう」の意味があります

If I'm talking to a friend it's quite informal. I might say "cheers mate."

友達と話している時など、カジュアルなシチュエーションで使います。「cheers mate：ありがとう」

And 'mate' of course means friend.

ここの「mate」はもちろん友達の意味です。

So when you use this, you can use it

なので、「cheers 」を使う際は、

in informal situations and you can also use it to finish off an email.

カジュアルなシチュエーションの時です。また、Eメールの最後に加えることもできます。

For example, I will say" Cheers, Sarah" at the end of emails.

例えば「Cheers, Sarah：では、サラ」と最後に付け加えます。

I hope you'll find good use for this word. It's really British.

The third word is brilliant.

3つ目は、「brilliant：すばらしい」

You might hear this a lot.

これもよく聞くと思います

It's used for everything, so the meaning itself means when something is really really nice.

何にでも使うことができます、意味は「何かがとてもいい」ということです。

It might even be fantastic.

「fantastic」と言うこともできます

So I might say, "Oh your outfit is brilliant, mate."

例えば「その服いいね！」

Or I might say, "That skirts really brilliant."

または「そのスカートいいわね！」

"I had a brilliant day at work today."

「今日職場でいいことがあったんだ」

When something's really nice, make sure you use this word.

何かがとてもいい時に、この単語を使ってみてください。

The fourth word is well.

4つ目は、「well：よい」

Now this is a little bit more unusual,

but I actually use this every day.

So we use this instead of 'very'.

You might hear someone say, "He's very tall."

「He's very tall：彼とても背が高い」と聞くことがあるかもしれません。

Well I would rather say, "He's well tall."

イギリスでは「He's well tall」といいます。

Or someone might ask me, "How are you?"

または、誰かが「元気ですか？」と聞いてきたら、

And I might say, "I'm well good."

「I'm well good：元気です」と答えたりします。

So it's a really useful word.

なので、とても便利な単語なんです。

People might not know what you mean,

それを聞いて、意味がわからない人もいるかもしれませんが、

but you will sound very British if you use this.

これを使うと、とてもイギリス英語になりますよ。

Now we've come to the final word which is bloody.

では、最後の単語は、「bloody：とても（血まみれの）」

This has many different usages,

これにはたくさんの使い方があり、

but the way that I use it is more for emphasis for certain words.

私がよく使うのは、どちらかと言うとある単語を強調したい時です。

So for example I might say, "Oh, that's bloody brilliant."

なので、例えば「それ、すごくいいわね」

Or I might say, "I had a bloody hard day today at work."

または「今日仕事とっても大変だったわ」という使い方をします。

But it's also quite common to hear it as "bloody heck."

さらに、「bloody heck：しまった！くそ！」もとてもよく聞きますね。

Something that I like to use very often.

私がよく使う表現です。

And you might even have heard this used in Harry Potter

ハリー・ポッターでもよく聞くかもしれません。

because it's one of Ron Weasley's favorite words to use.

ロン・ウィーズリーがよく言うセリフの一つですね。

So I hope you'll find a really good use for this one.
