鼻についての話をしたいと思います。

Everyone has one.

誰にでも鼻はありますよね。

Mine's a little bit bigger than most.

Today I wanted to talk a little bit about those little things that you can say to help you during an English conversation.

今日はちょっとした言葉の使い方で英会話の助けになるポイントというのを見ていきたいと思います。

So let's say you're having a conversation with someone and they're talking about something that you find interesting.

では、例えば誰かと会話をしているとして、自分の興味がある事について話しているとします。

A neat way to make the conversation flow better is to say things like: That's neat.

その時に会話自体をスムーズにさせる言い方としては、「That's neat（イイね）」

Or...

もしくは

That's cool.

「That's cool（スゴイね）」

Or...

あるいは

That's interesting.

「That's interesting（面白そう）」などがあります。

And if you need some time to think you can even stretch it out and say things like: I find that interesting.

そして少し考える時間が欲しい時は、もう少し伸ばしてこういう言い方もできます。「I find that interesting（それって面白そう）」

I find that pretty neat.

「I find that pretty neat（それってイイ感じだね）」

I find that fascinating.

「I find that fascinating（それって面白そうだね）」

Another suggestion to help conversation with English speakers go better is to simply ask them questions.

この他にも、英語で会話をよどみなく進めていくためのコツとしてはこちらから質問を投げかけてやることです。

People love talking about themselves.

人というのは自分の事について話すのが好きな生き物です。

So if you can ask questions like: How many times did you do it?

ですから、例えば「How many times did you do it?（それ、何回くらいやったの？）」

How long were you gone for?

「How long were you gone for?（どれくらい行ってたの？）」

Or...

とか

Did you enjoy yourself?

「Did you enjoy yourself?（楽しかった？）」

Or...describe that to me a bit.

または「Describe that to me a bit（ちょっと詳しく聞かせてよ）

It sounds fascinating.

It sounds fascinating（何か面白そうな話だからさ）」という感じです。

Which leads me to the last example.

そして最後の例文としては、

You can combine the two.

この 2 つを 1 つにまとめることもできるんです。

So you'll want to get comfortable saying things like: That's neat.

ですから、こういった言い方もさりげなくできるようになると良いですね。「That's neat（イイね）

I find that fascinating.

I find that fascinating（それって面白そうだね）

How long were you gone for?

How long were you gone for?（どれくらい行ってたの？）」

Or...

もしくは

That's really interesting.

「That's really interesting（それってマジですごいよ）

So you like camping?

So you like camping?（ってことはキャンプ好きなんでしょ？）」

Or...

あるいは

I find that pretty neat.

「I find that pretty neat（それってイイ感じだね）

I've always wanted to do that.

I've always wanted to do that（ずっとやりたいと思ってたんだよ）

Was it hard to get started?

Was it hard to get started?（始めるのは簡単だった？）」というのも良いですね。
