I've just noticed that my curlers have burnt the carpet. Oops. Never mind. Always use a heat protectant mat. That's what they're there for. Anyway... *stammers* It's that time of the month again where I sit down and chat you through all the bits and pieces I have been really loving. So let's get started! So I've got a few lifestyle-y bits today, but I'm going to start with beauty first. I did actually mention this in a vlog. Did I? *croaky* Have I uploaded that vlog yet? *croaky* Oh my God, my voice! That was weird. I have been really loving this perfume. In fact I haven't put any on today. Does anyone else just feel a bit weird when they haven't put a scent on? I feel like it's such a... key part of getting ready in the morning. I'd forgotten today, because I'd had it on my little pile of things to mention. This is by Clean Reserve, and they have quite a few different scents, one of which is, like, fresh rain, I think, which is on my list of other ones of these to get. But basically, this scent is warm cotton. And I actually received a sample of this in my P.O. box a while back. I think it was in my P.O. box. Or maybe it was a.. I don't know. And... I really liked it. It's definitely... unique. It really does smell like freshly washed clothes. And I know not everyone wants to smell like that, but, being a lover of very fresh scents, I can confirm that this really does smell very fresh, and like fresh linen. You just smell clean, and I think there's nothing nicer than smelling clean or getting a whiff of someone else who smells really clean, and I just really, really like this. It's lovely. So, I bought this on my trip to Bath at the beginning of the month, and I've been using it pretty much every single day since. I love it, and I bought my mum one for Mothers' Day as well because she liked it too. Been loving this foundation a lot. I'm actually wearing it today, and I've pretty much worn this for, like, the past two months. I really, really like it. This is the Rimmel Lasting Finish with comfort serum, 25-hour, SPF 20, skin-perfecting, full coverage foundation. I've been having a bit of a mare with my skin recently. I don't know whether it's the warmer weather, or I'm just feeling extremely hormonal, but I have had quite a lot going on on my face. So this has been the only thing that's really covered it up to some extent. That and my Urban Decay Naked Concealer, together have made the perfect pair. I have had to kind of mix these two, um... colours together though. This one is 100 Ivory, and this one is 010 Light Porcelain. Which, can I just say, if you have very fair skin, you should try this. Because it really is a very light foundation. In terms of colour, not coverage. So give it a try if you struggle with finding very pale shades. I really like this foundation. I've talked about it before, so I'm not gonna rave on about it too much. It's a great price, very affordable, very easy to find. Very easy to get a hold of. Great shades, amazing coverage, does- I can't say it lasts 25 hours on me, it just doesn't. But it is very long-lasting, considering this is a drugstore foundation. And the coverage is lovely. And it also blends really well. There's nothing worse than, like... a... smeary foundation. So there. There we go. I've also been really enjoying this. Which... is a Smashbox Photo Finish Primer Water. I don't really prime my skin before foundation. I probably should. It might make my 25-hour... foundation last 25 hours. I don't know why I feel like... primers on me are kind of greasy, I feel like you can really feel them sitting on top of your moisturiser. It's just not a step that I've sort of... got into the habit doing. Although, I do have lots of primers I really wanna try, and I just need to do it, but I think I just get a bit lazy with my makeup application and I just go from moisturiser straight to foundation. But I have noticed that spraying this on afterwards, which is quite nice and refreshing, um, makes the makeup, a, just look... better, especially if you've just applied a highlight, and then you spray this on, it's like, bam! The highlight, you can really see it. I do feel like it's making my foundation last longer. Which I guess is what it's for. I also like that it's in a tiny little, easy to travel with bottle. Because you can also put this in your handbag, and do kind of, like, little spritzes throughout the day, like, little top-up spritzes, I guess. Which, I don't really tend to do as much. But, you know sometimes when you just feel like your foundation is, like... looking a bit gross? You can spray this on and then, using, like, a sponge or a brush, you can just sort of, like... I dunno. Sort it out a bit. Which I quite like. So, yeah. I've been really enjoying this. I've only really been using it this month, and trying it out, but I have been liking it. The next thing, which is something I've had for a while, but I've, uh, recently been using this quite a lot to take my makeup off before cleansing, is this, which is the Body Shop Camomile Gentle Eye Makeup Remover. So this is just for your eye makeup, but I tend to kind of just go all over. I wouldn't just use this, and then carry on with the rest of my nighttime, um, skin routine, I use this, then I cleanse. Because I have to say, although I love this, and it is really good at removing, um, eye makeup, I think it's not quite tough enough... for the eye makeup that I have. So I do find that I definitely have to double cleanse, a, just because I want to actually cleanse my skin anyway, but b, because I find that double cleansing then removes anything this might have missed. But I just love this. It's so gentle on my eyes, and that's the thing is that I get quite, like, stingy eyes. I think I've got quite sensitive... eye area. I don't wanna keep saying 'eyes.' I feel like I've said 'eyes' so many times. Eyes. Eyes. Eyes. And I just really, really like this product. It's almost gone, actually. I need to get another one. But, yeah. I've been using that and loving it. And again, it's really easy to find, really affordable. And does a good job. Something else I've been loving is this. This is the Pixi By Petra Lower Lash Mascara. I love the Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara. It's fab. I'm one of those people that tries to use my main mascara wand to do my bottom lashes, and then I end up smudging, like, black all over my bottom lashes. So having a lower lash mascara really does actually help. Like, it's much, much more precise, and you don't smudge it as much. And I've been really liking this one. I've pretty much used it every day... for the past month and a half. So I thought it was worth mentioning here. The wand is, like, the skinniest little thing you've ever seen. It's crazy. But I really, really like it. And I've had no smudging, which makes me very happy. Another thing I have been trying do a lot more is moisturise my body. It was actually one of my New Years' Resolutions. Not necessarily moisturising my body, but just taking better care of my body. And my mum is someone who's always told me to moisturise. She actually uses oil on her body, and she does it after every shower, every bath. She's very, very good about it. And anytime she does it, I'm like, I need to do that. Because, I want my skin to look as amazing as my mum's skin does when I'm her age, and, she always tells me I need to do it. So, I do need to start doing it. Because I'm 27 now, you know? That's something else that happened this month. I turned 27. I'm officially... a grown woman. If you've watched my vlogging channel, then you'll know that I just have this thing about being 27. It just feels like 27 is, like, the real deal now. I don't really know why. I think it was because my mum was 27 when she had me, so... I feel like... I am... a woman now. Do you know what I mean? I dunno. Anyway, Tanya came to stay recently, and she was like, 'Oh, can I borrow a body moisturiser?' 'Cause she'd just had a shower, and I was like, 'Yeah, here you go.' I went to my, like, dusty collection of body lotions, and body butters, and I was like, 'Take your pick.' And then I was like, oh for goodness sake. Why don't I moisturise my body more? So, since Tanya came round, and reminded me that I do have some lovely body butters and lovely body lotions, I've started doing it a lot more. One of them that I've been really enjoying... is this one. Now you may notice this is Christmas packaging, which, actually, I flipping love. I know that some people did not like this Christmas packaging on the Kiehl's, um, Crème de Corps. But I loved it. It was garish, and a bit kitch. And I- I'm all up for that. So I really, really liked it. I'd never tried this before. But it's like, it's a real... it's quite moussey in consistency. It's very light, it's very fluffy, it's very moussey. And it just sinks in so beautifully. I love how much it sinks in. And it's very, like, quick as well. Which I think is one of the reasons I hate moisturising my body, because I hate feeling, like, sticky. I hate putting clothes on when you can still feel the moisturiser on your skin. It's just- I don't enjoy that feeling. But, um, this... really that feeling isn't there for very long. It really soaks in, which I like. I love the smell of this. It's very, like, vanilla-y. It's lovely. It actually reminds me of a Laura Mercier one, but I don't know which one. Maybe the Ambre Vanilla. That's what this kind of smells like. That I have been using for, like, the last two weeks? And I've really, really enjoyed using it. Moving on to more random things. This a bottle that, um, came to my PO Box, very kindly by the brand Joseph Joseph. And it's a water bottle. And... you fill it up, and you're supposed to drink four of these a day. I'm really bad at drinking water. Like, really bad. Almost notoriously bad. Um, so when this came in, I was going to charity this or give it somebody else who I knew would benefit from this more than I would, and I thought, no. I'm going to try and do this. So I have been trying. So far, I have not finished two of these a day. How bad is that? I just cannot consume... four of these. I can just about consume two, which is half of what I guess is my recommended daily intake of water. Although I do know it depends on weight and height, and all those things, like, if we're gonna get, like, medical about it. But what you do is you drink one of these, *click* and you do that. So you've got a little one. And then you drink another one, *click* and you do that, so you know you're on your second bottle. *click* third bottle, *click* fourth bottle. So, so far I have yet to get past this two. But I really hope that in about a month, I can say... I'm doing four a day. I don't know why I find drinking water so hard. I like water, it's not that I hate the taste of water, I really like water. I just... can't consume... large amounts of it. But, that bottle is definitely making it a little easier for me. I've got a couple of snacks that I've really enjoyed through March. The first of which are these. *chuckles* These are Marmite biscuits. "Delicious, savoury, oaty biscuits with Marmite. Perfect for lunchboxes and munching on the go." And you get four biscuits. I'm just gonna show you what they look like, 'cause they're really cute. They're in the shape of a Marmite jar. Now, I know Marmite is... um... a very love-it-or-hate-it... food item, so, uh, I know that there's a lot of you out there that would be, like, 'Ew, Marmite biscuits.' But they are so delicious. And any time I've been, like, a little bit peckish, but it's not really lunchtime and it's not dinnertime, and I've already had my breakfast, I... open a packet of those. And dipped in hummus, they're delicious also. They're just really great. Equally as unhealthy, because this is me we're talking about, um, Club Bars. Which are nothing new. I've enjoyed these... for many a year. I've just become obsessed with them. I think mostly just biscuit with chocolate and orange. Because I also have... um, Penguin Oranges downstairs and Kit Kat Oranges downstairs. But I have to say, it's the Club that I reach for the most. As you can see. I think I like Clubs a lot more, because, either end, there's quite a thick part- like, either end of the bar there's quite a thick bit of chocolate. And that is really nice. So when you feel like you've almost done with the chocolate bar, you're like, 'Oh, but I've got that really thick bit at the end.' Do you know what I mean? Kind of like a Kit Kat Chunky. That's why I like Kit Kat Chunkys as well. Because of that thick bit of chocolate either end. Just like this. All right, I'll open one. So it's just, like, a bar... and it says 'Club' on it. Chocolate biscuit, and orange stuff. TV-wise. I have been absolutely loving the programme Mary Berry Everyday. Mary Berry is, for me, just, one of the most amazing women ever. I find her so... relaxing, and positive, and just lovely. And I've actually had the honor of meeting Mary Berry when I did the Bake Off. And she was just so lovely. Obviously Bake Off is not on anymore, and so when this came onto my TV, I got very excited. I'm holding up a book because this is the book that goes alongside her TV programme, which actually was sent to me, which I'm very excited about. It's got some lovely recipes in it. I've already gone through and marked a couple that I really like. It's kind of, for me, it's sort of filled that Bake Off hole. And I'm really enjoying watching it. I get very excited. It's actually on this evening, I'm- which I'm happy about. And I've been watching all the episodes on repeat. So, that's when you know I love a programme. And I'm really sad, because Call the Midwife has now ended. So I don't have that, like, cosy programme anymore. Which is why I think I love Mary Berry Everyday, because it's become my cosy programme. Another thing I thought worth mentioning, although I have not got very far into this at all, I've only just start reading it. But this is the book that I started in March, so I thought I would share it. And it's by Emily Barr, and it's The One Memory of Flora Banks. So, I can't really say too much about it, 'cause I've literally just started it. But I'll read you the back. "How do you know who to trust when you can't even trust yourself? Flora has amensia. She can't remember anything day-to-day, the joke her friends made, the instructions her parents gave her, or how old she is. Then she kisses someone she shouldn't. And the next day, she remembers it. It's the first time she's remembered anything since she was ten. But the boy is gone." Uh, really enjoying what I've read so far. But as I said, I haven't read much. And you guys know I love YA. So, um, yeah. That is currently on my reading list, which I thought was worth mentioning. Ooh, one more thing, that I've been really loving, and that is denim dungarees. I feel like if you follow me on Instagram or you watch my vlogs, then you'll know that most of my outfits this month consisted of something underneath... dungarees! So I have these ones, which are from ASOS. Which I've been wearing a lot. These are quite, like, blue denim. And there's no, like, distressing on these. They're quite, kind of, baggy, I like them a lot. They go with, like, everything. And these ones, actually, which are a newer addition to my dungarees collection, and these are from Primark, would you believe. And I've also been loving these. These ones are a little bit more... distressed, and they're also slightly more fitted. And I've put some pins on them. These are the knees. Slightly more distressed at the knees. I just feel like dungarees is such a... fool-proof outfit. And also you can wear them every day but change what's underneath them. So you've still got some, like, variation, but you don't have to think too much about your outfit. And it still looks put together. Does that make any sense? I feel like it does in my head. With jumpers underneath, with t-shirts underneath, with off-the-shoulder t-shirts, with strappy tops, with stripey tops, the possibilities are endless. That is pretty much everything I have been loving through March. I also just want to mention that I did have... the best birthday ever. I got to spend it with lots of my friends, and my family. And thank you to those of you who wished me a happy birthday. I really, really appreciated it. Um, it was so lovely just, like, flicking through my mentions on Twitter, or checking my Instagram, or, um, going on, like, social media in general and just seeing all your little happy birthday wishes. It really made my day. So thank you very much. Be sure to give this video a thumbs up if you enjoyed it. And as always, let me know what you've been loving in the comments below. I'd really like to know what your cosy programme is. So if you could let me know what programme you're currently watching, or you have watched, or something that you always go back to, um, that makes you feel cosy. Because I have a real need for cosy programmes at the moment. So let me know. And I'll see you again very, very soon. Bye!
