Whereas these truck driver and factory workers, are likely to do really stupid things if you just give them the money. I run into this all the time. I run into it, certainly from people on the left. But also people on the right. I ascribe this, to the degree of which a lot of people have lived in a bubble all their lives, who now run the country. They've been around people who are just as smart as they are. They’ve lived around people who have the same values they do. They haven’t the least idea, of the degree of which, in a small Oklahoma town, problems still get solved by people in that town, who may not have stratospheric IQ’s, but have a lot of common sense and a lot of knowledge about how their town works. One of the great barriers to enacting a simple plan, that just gives people money, is that it will require the elites to give up feeling good about themselves, because they’re gonna help these poor benighted folks, who can’t take care of themselves.
