  • Hey guys and welcome back to the Beauty Recommended channel, my name is Fleur from Fleur DeForce

  • and today I'm going to be answering another one of Britain's Biggest Beauty Questions

  • which is how to deal with frizzy hair, so in this video I'm going to be showing you

  • three different styles that I think are great for frizzy hair and then I'm also going to

  • be talking you through some products that are great for combatting and also for styling

  • frizzy hair, so let's get straight into it. If you suffer from frizzy hair in the front

  • sections of your hair, like just here, often I find with my hair if I've curled it or styled

  • it, the first place to go is here because this hair is where I tend to straighten the

  • most, even if I don't straighten the rest of my hair, I'll just straighten out like

  • at the roots so this tends to be where it goes the most frizzy. So, something that I

  • really, really like to do is to plait the front section here and it doesn't need to

  • be a french plait because it actually takes up less hair if you don't do a french plait.

  • So I take this small, kind of about an inch wide section here and then just plait it and

  • then all you need to do is just secure the bottom of this with a clear elastic and once

  • you've done that you can just loosen up the plait by pulling it, so just really pull it

  • out and make it a bit thicker and messier and then all you need to do is just take a

  • kirby grip or a bobby pin and tuck the plait to the side, behind your ear and then just

  • pin it right behind your ear then you can pull the rest of your hair forward and you

  • just have a little plait to the side so it doesn't take up much of the volume of your

  • hair but it almost kind of just gives you that effect of having a little plait and it

  • gets rid of the frizzy bit at the front. Another thing I really like to do is if you have frizzy

  • mid lengths of your hair and you want to kind of conceal those is to do a half fish tail,

  • you can do a full fish tail which works really well too but I think a lot of people do those,

  • so what I like to do if I've got second day waves ,like these kind of like big curls but

  • second day so the middle bit's probably gone a bit frizzy. What I like to do is pull my

  • hair to the side, divide it into 2 sections and then start a fishtail in the same way

  • that you would if you were just going to do a full fish tail but only do maybe about 10

  • ties so then you have just a little bit of fishtail there, you want to pull it quite

  • tight and then again secure it with a clear band then you've tied up that frizzy middle

  • section, you can pull a bit out the front if you want to, like that. But you've got

  • rid of that frizz in the middle and then you've just got the nice curls at the end, so that's

  • what I like to do if I've got a bit of frizz in the mid sections of my hair and I think

  • it also looks quite put together as well, which I really like. And then also if you

  • want to tie your hair up but you don't want to just use a normal kind of boring bun, what

  • I like to do, is do a kind of knot to the side. So take my hair in the same way as if

  • you were doing like a side ponytail, twist it round quite tight because it will loosen

  • up throughout the day and almost just kind of tuck it in, leave a few bits to the side

  • and then you can secure this with the elastic again and then take a few kirby grips and

  • just pin that. So you have that really cute kind of side knot that isn't a normal bun

  • but it's a bit more fun for kind of getting rid of the majority of your hair kind of out

  • of the way if it is frizzy. So moving on to products that I would recommend for frizzy

  • hair, the first one is a shampoo and conditioner from Pantene, and this is the Breakage Defence

  • line which obviously helps to eliminate breakage but it's also really good for frizz as well

  • because these actually have technology in them that neutralises copper in your hair

  • and limits the damage. The conditioner is super thick and really kind of nourishing,

  • leaves my hair feeling really soft, I really, really like this and the shampoo smells amazing

  • as well. And then another one that I would recommend as more of a treatment is something

  • that I have been using on and off since I was about 15, this is Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle

  • but this is the Beach Mate version which is specially formulated for extra frizzy hair

  • if you have been at the beach and exposed your hair to kind of sun, sea and sand, all

  • that kind of stuff so it's great for a kind of post-summer treatment for your hair. Basically

  • you put it on instead of your conditioner and leave it for 3 minutes and it is so lovely

  • and thick and nourishing, it smells amazing. A lot of you will have used this already I'm

  • sure because it's kind of a cult product but I really, really like this one for frizzy

  • hair. Another thing you definitely want to be thinking about if you have frizzy hair

  • is heat protectant, if you're not using a heat protectant spray already then make sure

  • you get one if you want to prevent frizz because a lot of the time when people have frizzy

  • hair the first thing they do is straighten it or curl it because they want to get rid

  • of the frizz but that's actually causing more frizz to your hair, more damage, so you want

  • to be using a heat protectant spray, this is a new one from Silvikrin which is the Style

  • & Heat Protect Spray, so this is a styling spray and a heat protectant in one, it's got

  • a two-phase kind of liquid, so you have to shake the bottle up first, spray it onto dry

  • hair and then use your curlers or your straighteners. So it doesn't only help to protect your hair

  • from heat but it also helps to keep your style in for longer as well which is always good.

  • And then if you aren't already using a hair oil, I would highly, highly recommended using

  • one, you can use them as serums, so you can use them on wet hair or you can use them as

  • a finishing product on dry hair. I tend to use oils for both, I use them both as serum

  • when I have wet hair, before I brush it I put it on the ends for a little bit of extra

  • nourishment or you can put them through your hair when it's dry to actually get rid of

  • frizz so a lot of the time if I have second day curls I'll put a couple of pumps of oil

  • and just run it through the curls just to help get that definition back but also to

  • get rid of the frizz. This one is from Wella Professionals, it's the Luxe Oil, it smells

  • amazing. And then the last product I would definitely recommend for frizzy hair, this

  • is really, really expensive but it is wonderful, it's from Oribe and it's the Impermeable Anti-Humidity

  • Spray so a lot of the time if you are in a humid climate or even if it is very kind of

  • damp or just in general like slightly wet, this stuff is amazing for not only holding

  • your style but also stopping it kind of dropping out and going that kind of limp, frizzy just

  • losing your style so this stuff is really great. That is it for my tips and product

  • recommendations for frizzy hair, I really hope you guys enjoyed this video, if you did
