So the other day, I went to a recycle store to get rid of some of my stuff.

先日、リサイクルショップへ売りに行ったのですが、

And when I went to the store,

受付には先客がいまして、

there was a guy who was trying to sell his stuff.

彼の売りたかった物の中に

And one of the things he was trying to sell

この和包丁がありました。

was this traditional Japanese knife.

ただ、酷い状態だったので断られていました。

But because it's so crappy, the store didn't want it at all.

彼は「30円でもいいから」と食い下がりました。

But the guy was saying...

しかし、買い取りは断られました。

"I would even sell this for 30 yen." (roughly 30 cents)

そこで、彼の買い取りが終わった後に

But the store said "No" to the guy anyway.

その包丁を売ってくれないかと尋ねました。

So after he was done, I talked to him and asked if he would sell it to me.

そしたら、

And he said

「300円以下じゃ売らないよ」

"I will not sell it for less than $3."

（さっきの10倍じゃねぇか…）

(That's like ten times more than first you were gonna sell...)

結局、300円で買い取りました。

So...

彼は満面の笑みで店を出ていきました。

I bought this knife for $3 anyway.

And the guy left the store with giant smile on this face.

今でも、まだ悔しいので

今回はこの包丁を研ぎ磨いて、

You know... I still feel like I lost to that guy.

たった300円で売りつけた事を後悔させてやろうと思います。

So today I'm gonna sharpen and clean this knife as much as I can
