ok today we will make something a little different make something that never made
before
yes deep-fried butter on a stick so it caught my curiosity so I figured i'll
try it and see how it tastes
don't know how it's going to turn out it might be a total fail it might be the
greatest thing ever
I don't know what we're going to do this together so keep watching and I will show you what to do
ok first thing you want to do is take a stick of butter and a wooden skewer and
line up right in the middle and gently push it through and try to get it at
least halfway
ok once you have it about halfway I suggest taking it and put it in the
freezer for at least an hour
ok the first thing you want to do is start off with making pancake that you
can get the pre-made mix if you like and just add cinnamon and honey to it would
be perfect
I'm going to make my own from scratch and we'll start off with one cup of
all-purpose flour up a fourth of a cup of granulated sugar it's just regular sugar 2
tablespoons of baking powder 1 tablespoon of just sugar or cinnamon
we're gonna add 1 cup of milk 1 egg beaten 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil also a
teaspoon of salt and you just take that and mix this up really good and not to
forget the honey
put about a tablespoon or two of honey mix it up and you don't want to overmix it you
want it to be thick
don't worry about clumps there should be some clumps
if it's too runny just let it sit for a bit or you can add some more flour to a
little bit like a tablespoon at a time if it's too runny that's too runny
oh my add 1 tablespoon of flour and mix that and see how that helps
that one more
that should do it
and i will let that sit and I'll come back to it hopefully it'll be nice and
thick in a few minutes
ok while I'm waiting for my mix to thicken up a bit
I have a vat of grease (oil) and I have it up to 375 degrees Fahrenheit
that is a hundred ninety degrees celsius and what I want to do is get it ready so
it's nice and hot and ready to go so that when my batter is ready i can dip
the butter and stick it right in there
ok now what you want to do is prepare by pouring this batter into a thin cup
that way when we stick the butter and it'll coat all the way around it and you
want to stop about an inch or two from the top
because remember when you stick the butter in all that volumes it's gonna take up
the volume and this is going to push the stuff up towards the top and it may
overflow
I'm going to take this and here is my batter that I had prepared and I'm just
going to dip this in
drain it just for a second
turn it up and you just want to place it right in
the grease ok I've noticed that it wants to float to the top so I'm just kind of holding
pressure to keep it down below the grease and i'll do that until the
3 minutes is up
ok so it's been about three and a half minutes and i'm going to take it out and I'm
just going to put it on paper towels to let it drain and cool a bit i'm going to
make my glaze
that's going to go over the top of it I have one cup of confectioner's sugar 1
teaspoon of vanilla extract 1 and a half of a tablespoon of milk and I just
want to stir this up real good
ok i might add some more milk
and that's going to be the glaze that I'm gonna drizzle on there
ok now what I'm going to do is take my glaze and i'm just going to drizzle it
right across
ok so now I'm gonna taste this I've never had this before I've never tried one of
these I've only seen it on a report and i'm going to take a bite and tell you
what it taste like this could be the most disgusting thing I've ever eaten or it
could be the greatest thing in which case the next time you see me I'll
probably weigh 800 pounds so we will try this and see how it tastes there's tons
of butter in this right now
and...MMM!
this tastes like almost like a cinnamon roll with tons of butter on the inside
that is what the inside looks like
and this little tote which is good to see the butter dripping out of the bottom it
tastes really really good
