Hi, Doug here from Investing In Gold Advice dot com.
In this short video I’m going to explain how to invest in gold in three different ways,
then at the end I’ll briefly analyse which one carries least risk for inexperienced gold
investors.
Option number 1 is to invest in Gold Stocks
With this option you will be buying shares of the mining companies that locate and extract
gold and get it out into the market.
The success of your investment is determined mainly by the management strength of the company
you invest in, local conditions where the mine is located and how the price of gold
is performing.
Option number 2 is to invest in Gold ETFs
ETF stands for ‘exchange traded fund’ and this is an investment fund that is traded
on stock exchanges in the same way that stocks and shares are.
It holds assets such as commodities, bonds and stocks and in most cases tracks an index.
With a Gold ETF the commodity or principal asset that it consists of naturally is gold.
The success of your investment is determined mainly by how the gold sector in general is
performing, how each stock within the fund is performing and how the price of gold is
performing.
Option number 3 is to invest in Physical Gold
In this case you can choose to invest in gold jewelry, gold bars or gold coins. For reasons
I explain fully on my website Investing In Gold Advice dot com gold coins are the best
form of investment for individual investors, and standard gold coins are less risky than
rare ones. The success of your investment is determined
principally by how the price of gold is performing.
OK, so which of these three how to invest in gold options carries the least risk?
It’s the third option, investing in physical gold...
...firstly because you own the metal itself rather than a contract or promissory note,
and secondly because the value of your investment is determined by one thing only – the prevailing
price of gold.
I’ve been successfully trading and investing in gold since 2003 and I created my website
Investing In Gold Advice dot com to share with you the knowledge, experience and contacts
that I’ve gained during that time.
