Perfect! so since you’re not doing anything, can you wash the dishes, mow the lawn and

eum… Oh yeah! Rebuild the whole roof. REALLY?!

That’s right, I’m talking about you dad! I don’t have time for chores…

Luckily for me, this year, for the first time, I’ve been invited to Attend VidCon. So VidCon

is an annual YouTube convention in California where more than 26,000 people attend it to

meet their favourite Youtubers and for us YouTubers to meet our viewers. So when I learned

the news, aha… Yeah, quickly packed and got the hell out of here…

I took a flight to California and from there, I met our driver.

Nice to meet you I’m Jeffrey Michael

His name was Michael Water anybody?

Thank you very much I quickly realized that Michael

was already way cooler than my dad We then drove to Anaheim at the hilton hotel

where the event was going to take place Security had to make sure I was on the list

but once we got in I was escorted by security guards and crew members

I have no idea where we’re going

I finally checked into my hotel

Oh look! Looks like we got a letter from VidCon Oh no! Look at that!

A new generation of superstar [Laugh] That’s me!

It didn’t take long and I had to get out of my room and start the day

I was asked to go to this private fitting from this clothing company called Calvin Klein

Not sure if you’ve heard of them before

They basically told me that I could choose

several outfits for me to rock during the event

The process didn't take too long cause the cool people at Calvin Klein already had a

few set of clothes in mind ready for me to try on

After a few moments, we packed up what we liked and I was good to go

VidCon upped their security this year so we had to take these

FBI Secret agent looking cars that would take us to the convention

From there, I had to take a golf cart that would take me directly to my panel

And Jeffrey Chang! [Crowd cheer]

The first panel was called Race and Representation on YouTube

Among other great YouTubers, we discussed diversity in the media and how multicultural

backgrounds have influenced online content and communities

After that, I went on a different stage where I got interviewed by People Entertainment

During this interview, I was asked on

how I started on YouTube and what were my future plans

I then had to go to a different room where I was called upon by AwesomenessTV for another

for another interview

For this one, I was asked personal questions

and quizzes like If I had a celebrity crush

What was my favourite food and What was I looking forward to during VidCon

And then I finally found some time to just RELAX

I discovered this lounge with cool music and this comfortable blue chair

And… euh… Wait a minute…

Is that a giant picture of me on the Instagram Billboard?

What?!

Moments later, I was back at it again on golf carts

navigating underground to get to my next panel

We went through this giant elevator that carried a dozen of us

For the first time during this convention,

I was going to moderate this next panel called SMALL, RISING & ESTABLISHED

It gathered creators that I admired a lot such as

Yulin Kuang, Josh Elkin, Casey Neistat Craig Benzine and Ben Willingdorf

We discussed the similarities and differences in our work flow and how we communicate through

online platforms like YouTube

More than 1000 creators came to listen to us

And yeah, that is how my VidCon came to an end.

And before I knew it, I had to pack my bags Get picked up and fly back home

All set! [Laugh]

Agh, that was crazy Everyone I met there including the VidCon

team were so sweet and treated me like some sort of superstar

I was so overwhelmed by everything that I kept thinking that I don’t really deserve

all of that but now that it’s over, I realized I often forgot to embrace the moment

All of this experience is of course because you supporting my videos so thank you so much

for being part of this big online family I really don’t take it for granted
