  • - Happy belated birthday to you.

  • - Thank you very much. - Your birthday was last week?

  • - It was last week. - And you turned 40?

  • - Yes, I did. - Well, happy 40th birthday

  • to you. - Thank you very much.

  • Thank you very, very much. - How does that feel?

  • - It feels...it really feels fantastic, actually.

  • I mean, I have to say, I was gearing up to it.

  • I was getting ready for it, and I feel like I--

  • I've earned these 40 stripes, you know?

  • Yeah, I-I made it.

  • Does anyone else have that feeling?

  • You get to 40 and you're like, "Yes!

  • I'm there!"

  • [applause]

  • I really do have that feeling.

  • So, yeah, it's lovely.

  • - Oh, good. Well, you look great.

  • - Thank you. - And so, what did you do

  • for your birthday? I know that

  • you didn't want gifts. You asked--

  • there was a request you made. What did you want?

  • - Pigs.

  • - Pigs, how many pigs? - Two pigs.

  • - Well, that's not two. Um...

  • [laughter]

  • - How many is it? - You're gonna sit with them

  • over there. - I am, aren't I?

  • - All right.

  • 'Cause I said, "How many pigs?" and you went, "Two."

  • - I went, "Two." - Yeah.

  • All right.

  • - I did go, "Two." - So--so--

  • - So, two. - Two babies.

  • - Two pigs. - Uh-huh.

  • - Mabel and Sox, their names are.

  • - And are they pot-bellied or are they--?

  • - They're pot-bellied. They're six months old.

  • - And-- - We're re-housing them.

  • - Male and fe--oh, you're gonna give them to somebody else?

  • - No. - You said "re-housing."

  • - No, no, we've taken them from somebody else who had an injury,

  • so that's quite nice. - Oh, that's great.

  • - Yeah. - Is that the only animal--

  • 'cause you live in England, right?

  • - We live in England, yes we do.

  • We live near the water, near the ocean, so that's fabulous.

  • We have chickens. - Oh, that's great.

  • - Yes. - Chickens and now two pigs.

  • - Chickens and two pigs. - Uh-huh, right.

  • - Yeah, we have eight chickens and three pigs.

  • - Eight chickens? - Yeah, yeah.

  • Eight. - Yeah.

  • So you have eight chickens and two pigs.

  • - Yes we do. - And how many children

  • do you have? - Oh, well, let me see.

  • Three? - Uh-huh.

  • You have three kids. - I have three children.

  • - And how old are they now?

  • - So, Mia is 15. Actually, today she's 15.

  • - Wow. - Yeah, she's 15.

  • And Joe is 11, and baby Bear is 22 months.

  • - Bear. - Yeah, the baby Bear.

  • - He's two years? - He's 22 months,

  • so he'll be two in December.

  • - Wow, that's great. - Yeah.

  • - And what are they into?

  • - Well, Bear is into climbing on my head and everything else.

  • - Mm-hmm. - And he's actually

  • a very funny, really happy baby,

  • so it couldn't be better.

  • He was so sweet on the plane coming here, actually.

  • My husband took him into the bathroom

  • to change his diaper, and he came running back,

  • and it was as though he literally hadn't seen me

  • for about a week, and he went, "Mommy! Funny!"

  • [laughter]

  • - We were talking about where you live.

  • Is--is it a farm?

  • - No, it's not a farm, but we do live--

  • - You have land? - Yeah, we have a little bit

  • of that, but really a little bit of land.

  • - Right. - It's not much at all, and--

  • - But you're gonna garden, I heard.

  • - Well, you know, I've got to be honest.

  • Every year there are two things I say, right?

  • "This year, I'm gonna learn how to speak French and to garden."

  • And then I do neither.

  • And then the year comes around, I go, "Right, this year,

  • I really am gonna learn to speak French and how to garden."

  • And then it doesn't happen again.

  • But this year, I actually really am.

  • I actually really am going to learn how to speak French,

  • and to garden. And to garden.

  • - Why don't you just choose one

  • so it's not overwhelming?

  • - Well, I can't really do things in ones.

  • I tend to do them in twos or threes.

  • I'm a bit of a multitasking lunatic like that.

  • - I see, which is why you have three kids.

  • - Which is why I have three kids.

  • - Yeah. All right, so,

  • I have a birthday gift for you.

  • And this--you have no excuse now...

  • - Okay. - To--I don't know

  • about the French.

  • [cheers and applause]

  • - Oh, stop it!

  • Oh!

  • [laughs]

  • - Wait-- - Don't leave, don't leave.

  • Can he stay? - He can stay.

  • - Yeah. Can you--

  • Are you going to do the teaching?

  • - I'm with you, yeah. - Okay.

  • He's gonna do the teaching. Okay, that's--

  • - Yeah, this--that's Nick the Gardener.

  • He takes care of our plants here.

  • But if you want to borrow him, that's fine.

  • - Does he--does he do the gardening...

  • - She loans me out every so often.

  • - Like this doing the plants around here?

  • - He takes care of my bushes just like that.

  • - Does he?

  • Is that right, El?

  • Is that right? - Are there gloves there?

  • - I'm glad I came dressed as a priest today,

  • that's all I can say. I tell you.

  • This is amazing.

  • Oh, look!

  • - You have your little gloves.

  • - They have my name on. - Yeah.

  • - Oh, wow. - And now it's up to you

  • to learn French, but all that is yours.

  • Happy birthday. - Oh, my goodness.

  • Look at that. - All right.

  • - That is really something.

  • "Winslet's wheelbarrow," it says on the side.

  • - And the wheelbarrow.

  • - Oh, my gosh!

  • Thank you so much. Thank you so much.

  • - You're welcome. You're welcome.

- Happy belated birthday to you.
