I did an audition.

I didn't know what I was auditioning for.

They said it was super, super confidential.

'You're just gonna read scene with Zack Snyder', my magnificent director.

とにかく、ザック・スナイダーと読み合わせはするよって。私の尊敬する監督のね。

So, I have and it was great.

それで、オーディションを受けて。最高でした。

And then I had to go back to Israel for work.

それから、仕事でイスラエルに戻らなくちゃいけなくて。

And then they call to say that they want to camera-test me with Ben.

そのあと、電話を貰ったんです。ベン(・アフレック)と私のカメラテストをしたいって。

I said, "Great."

私は「いいですね。」って言ったんです。

"What am I testing for?"

「何のためのカメラテストなんですか？」って。

And then they said "Well, honestly, we have no idea but expect a phone call from Zack Snyder."

そしたら、「正直言って、まったく分からないんだけど、ザック・スナイダーから電話がくることになってます」って言われて。

Same night cut to Zack calls me, saying,

その日の夜に、ザックから電話があって、こう言われたんです。

"Well, I'm not sure if you have it in Israel, but did you ever hear about Wonder Woman?"

「ちょっとイスラエルでもあるか分からないんだけど、ワンダー・ウーマンって聞いたことある？」

Then I went dead for like five seconds, came back to life and I tried to pull off my coolest voice saying, "Wonder Woman, yeah".

それで私、5 秒くらい固まっちゃって。それから意識を取り戻して、落ち着いた声で言ったんです。

"Yeah I've heard of her." and then the next thing you know, I did the audition with Ben.

「そうですね。聞いたことありますけど」って。その後、ベンとオーディションをしました。

It went great.

それは、すごく順調にいきました。

Came back home, and I was expecting to get a fairly quick answer.

イスラエルに戻ったら、すぐに返事をもらえると思って待ってたんですけど。

Waited very patiently for two weeks, and I had a very positive feeling about that.

2週間、すごく我慢強く待ちました。すごくいい感じだっていう感覚ではあったんです。

And then I had to travel again to the States for another work.

それから、別の仕事でアメリカに行かなければならなくて。

And then the moment the airplane landed, I opened my phone, and I saw 30 missed calls from my agents.

飛行機が着陸してすぐに携帯を見たら、エージェントから30回も着信があったことに気づきました。

So, I called them while sitting in the seat still.

それで、まだ座席に座ったままの状態でかけ直したんです。

And then they said "Well, you can't say anything to anyone yet, but you got the part!"

そしたら「えぇと、まだ誰にも何も言っちゃダメなんだけど、訳が決まったよ！」って！

And then I went "Aah"!

私も「あぁ～っ！」ってなって。

And everyone looked at me.

みんなに見られちゃいました。

And I couldn't say anything.

ただ何も言えなかったけど。

And now I feel like I'm the luckiest girl in the world.

So, Alma came to visit me many times on set, and one time, I was wearing the Wonder Woman costume.

And then she asked me,

娘に質問されたんですけど、

"Mommy, if you wear a tiara, does that mean you're a queen, and then I'm a princess?"

「ママ、ママがティアラをかぶっているとしたら、それはママが女王ってことでしょ。そしたら私はお姫様？」

And then I said, "Well it's, I'm playing dress up."

だから私は、「そうだね、ママは仮装ごっこをしてるの」って言ったんです。

"Alma, this is dress up."

「アルマ、これは仮装なの」って。

And she's really into dress up.

それでもう、娘は仮装に大ハマりになっちゃって。

She's really into princesses, and one time I was telling her a story and then she said the prince is always so brave and courageous and strong.

色んなプリンセスにも夢中で。でも、ある時、物語を聞かせていたら、「王子様はいつも、りりしくて、勇敢で、強いね」って娘が言うんです。

And then I asked her, and what do you think about the princess?

それで「プリンセスたちのことどう思う？」て聞いてみたら、

She said, yeah.

「うんまぁ…」って。

And I ask her why do you say that?

「どうしてそんなふうに言うの？」って聞いたら、

And then she say, they always fall asleep and then the prince the one to wake them up.

「プリンセスはいつも眠ってしまって、王子様が起こしてくれるでしょ」って言うんです。

And they do nothing.

「プリンセスは何もしないんだもん」って。

And that made me feel so good about the fact ...

それで私嬉しくなったんです。その…
