- (Finebros) Today we're gonna see if you can remember
the last seven movies that won the Oscar for Best Picture.
- Okay. I'm a little nervous.
- I'm a little bit apprehensive. We'll see.
- Seven? Really?
- Just the last seven that won Best Picture?
Feel like I'm gonna do okay.
- I love the Oscars. I'm a film major.
So I've followed the Oscars pretty well,
but I'm sure I'm gonna get 90% of these wrong.
♪ (quirky interlude) ♪
- (Finebros) Do you know the most recent Best Picture winner
from 2015? - No.
- (to herself) What came out last year?
- The first thing that comes to mind is Guardians of the Galaxy.
- Dallas Buyers Club. Something like that?
- It wasn't Birdman, right?
- Was that Birdman?
- Bird...man.
- (Finebros) As a visual hint,
here is the poster with the title blurred out.
- Oh.
Is this... Captain America?
- Was this Birdman?
I see a bird. I might be wrong.
- Oh, Birdman.
- Birdman. Boom!
- That Birdman one, Michael Keaton, okay.
It has, like, a really long weird name.
- (Finebros) This is Birdman, or the full title,
Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance).
- Wow. Never heard of it before. (chuckling)
- That's pretty long. No wonder I just remember "Birdman."
- I tried to watch it.
It was really weird.
- The cinematography on it was great.
I loved it. I thought it was a great movie.
- I loved Birdman.
Michael Keaton is a BADASS.

- (Finebros) Now, who won in 2014? - I don't know.
- I can't remember.
- I feel like Argo. What year was that?
- Is it another one of these superhero movies
or an old-person movie?
- I'm gonna kick myself for not knowing it.
- I'm not sure. I really don't know.
My film teacher would fail me right now.
- Once I see the poster, I feel like I'll know it.
- (Finebros) Let's see if the poster helps.
- Wow. No clue.
- I don't know. (giggling) I don't know.
- Oh my gosh.
I'm trying to see who's in it.
- I know Michael Fassbender and Benedict Cumberbatch
are really big names.
- "Diary of a Runaway Slave." Was something similar to that.
- 12 Something Slave.

14 years. 12. (laughs)
- It's not 12 Years a Slave, is it?

- (Finebros) This is 12 Years a Slave.

- I very loosely remember the name.
- Didn't watch it, but I heard it was really good.
- I haven't seen the film,
but I've heard wonderful things about it.
- It was tough to watch. It's tough when they hold the mirror up
to the bad parts of our society.
But it was good. I thought it was really good.

- (Finebros) Now, do you know who won Best Picture in 2013?
- No.

- No, I don't.
It's not Munich, is it?
- 2013. What was in 2013?
- I don't remember this.
- You're gonna have to give me a hint,
'cause now you're even going further back.
- Can I try Argo again? (chuckles) That's my guess, Argo.
- (Finebros) Here's the poster. - I don't know it. What is it?
- (softly) Oh my gosh.
- It's right there. Ugh! What's it called? What's it called?

- (Finebros) That was the historical drama Argo.

- That was a freaking great movie, man.
- This one was about a guy going to Iran at some point.
- I didn't realize until after I started watching the movie
that it was based on something that actually happened,
so that was pretty cool.

- (Finebros) Back in 2012-- do you know it?
- No, I don't.
- No.

- I have no idea.
- Um... oh. Silver Linings? Maybe.
- I remember Django Unchained was up there for something,
so that's my guess.
- Is it The Artist?
No, that's-- I know that's 2011. I'm like 90% sure.
- (Finebros) The poster for that year's film looked like this.
- Oh man.
- Is this the one with the dog in it?
- Isn't it like a silent movie?
- Oh, right. What was this called?
- (gasps) Was this the black and white one?
The Artist?
- Yeah, The Artist.
- (Finebros) This is the film The Artist.
- The Artist, there you go.
- I knew it was. Damn it.
- Never heard of it.
- Okay, I remember this. I didn't see this either.
- I remember the dog. (laughing)
I did not remember the movie.
- This is my favorite film. Top--
Like, everyone always hates me for saying it,
but I love The Artist.
- It had to have been an amazing film
for a silent film to win Best Picture.
I don't know why I haven't seen it.
But I guarantee within the month I will.

- (Finebros) Now for the 2011 Best Picture winner.
Do you know it? - Mm... no, I do not know it.
- No clue. Don't even want to guess.
- (cracking up) Is it a Star Wars movie? I don't know.
- I swear, there's, like, a military one in there somewhere,
like a soldier one.
- Hold on. Um...
The King's Speech. Is that 2010? Ugh.
- (Finebros) Let's see if the poster helps.
- No.
I don't even recognize the poster.
- I can't remember this at all.
Is he a singer?
- The... Speech? Something like that.
- The King's Speech.
- Oh, The King's Speech.
- The King's Speech. It was the one where he had a stutter.
- The King's Speech. Fantastic movie.
- (Finebros) This is The King's Speech.
- (gasps) That one. I haven't seen it.
- It is based on the king of... England, I believe.
He had a speech impediment, and he needed to address the nation.
- It was all about the emotion
and this person overcoming something that was so, like,
monstrous for him.
- I think it was well deserved.
Just seeing a human through struggle and...
it was just something that we could all relate to.
- (Finebros) Other movies that were nominated
but didn't win Best Picture that year include Inception,
Black Swan, The Social Network, and Toy Story 3.
- Ooh, that's a rough year.
- What's funny is I've seen all the other movies
except for that one.
- Pretty interesting. I would've given it to Toy Story 3 though.
- He had to overcome his speech impediment, I guess.
And the other movies didn't really qualify
in that Oscar bid category.
I would've given it to any of those other ones.
♪ (quirky interlude) ♪
- (Finebros) Going way back to 2010, do you know it?
- No.
- No, I don't.
- No, I don't know it.
- I have zero clue.
- (Finebros) How about when you see the poster?
- Oh, uh, uh, um... ugh.
- Oh, he's the-- he's the bomb guy.
- Is it The Hart Locker, or Heart Locker or something like that?
- It's a war movie.
The Hurt Locker.
- The Hurt Locker?
- Oh, The Hurt Locker.

- (Finebros) This is the war film The Hurt Locker.

I was close.
- "The Hurt Locker." Don't even remember the title.
- I didn't see it, but I heard it was a near perfect movie.
- I just remember it being really tense
when he had all that gear on, and he was walking really slow,
like trying not to explode.
- I think it's a great movie.
The tension that it builds with the bomb scenes.
It has you on the edge of your seat the entire time.

- (Finebros) All right, last film today,
the 2009 Best Picture winner. Do you know it?
- Nope.
- Nope, don't know it.
- I don't remember 2009.
- Uh... was it The Fighter?
- This wouldn't be Return of the King.
Would it? Lord of the Rings? Ugh.
- (Finebros) And the poster for the last film.
Does it look familiar? - No.
- No clue. No clue what movie this is.
- I know this movie. It's the cutest.
What's it called? What's it called?
- Slumsum Millionaire or something like that?
I don't know.
- It's, uh, something millionaire. Slumdog Millionaire?
- Oh! Slumdog Millionaire.
- Oh, Slumdog Millionaire.
- Slumdog Millionaire. Of course. Great movie.
- (Finebros) This is the Danny Boyle film Slumdog Millionaire.
- Oh, I saw that movie.
- He won a million dollars, right?
And then they do some dance number at the end.
That's all I know.
- It's fantastic. The Bollywood scene at the end is great.
- Loved the movie. Loved the dance moves.
I wanted to dance all throughout, especially at the end.
