And nestled in the city of the rising sun

日の出づる都市ここ東京で

lies an exhibition documenting the fandom that is Starwars.

スターウォーズの歴史を振り返る エキシビジョンが開催されています。

When you step inside, the first thing you see are movie posters

中に入るとまず目に入るのは 映画のポスターです

showcasing the old and the new

古いものから新しいものまで

Following that, a list of all the characters in the new movie release.

ポスターの後は 最新映画の新しいキャラクターたちの紹介です

Impressive replicas of Rey and BB8

レイとBB8のレプリカも素晴らしかったです

And hauntingly life-like versions of two stormtroopers and Kylo Ren.

まるで生きているかのような 2体のストームトゥルーパーとカイロ・レン

It was the eve of the Aomori Nebuta festival;

何百年とも続く歴史あるお祭り

a tradition that has continued for at least a few hundred years.

青森ねぶた祭りの前日のことでした

Japan decided to craft innovative Starwars based floats

日本はスターウォーズの山車を作ろうと決めたのです

and showcase them in honor of the new movie release.

そして映画の公開を記念して公開しました

The floats are about 5 meters high

山車は5mもの高さがあります

and made with guidance from Lucasfilm and Aomori Prefecture.

ルーカスフィルムと 青森県の指導のもと作成されました

Usually they depict samurai warriors but...

通常は武者を描くねぶたですが

this time Japan decided to show their love for the Starwars franchise.

今回はスターウォーズへの 敬愛からこの山車を作ろうと決めたのです

The pictures on the wall explain the creation and presentation of the floats

写真は山車の様子が見れます

as well as the sapporo snow festival with an ice sculpture of Darth Vader

札幌ゆき祭りのダーズベイダーの雪の彫刻も

and Aomori's rice paddy art with characters we all know and love.

The last bit of the exhibition showcased distinct and artistic versions of BB8.

最後のセクションでは様々な形の アートで表現されたBB8が展示されていました

Ok! So we just finished at the Starwars exhibition

今エキシビジョン見終わりました

And it was really cool!

すっごく面白かったです

It wasn't that big

そんなに大きくはなかったけど

but it was free and today was the last day.

無料だったし！ しかも今日は最終日でした

多分来年もなにかやると思う

Usually when things come out they usually have some exhibitions and things going on.

何かが公開されたりすると それと関連したイベントをやったりするから
