In this video, we’ll show you how to quickly customize your AdWords statistics table to view the performance data that matters most to you. Analyzing your data can help you weed out keywords and ads that aren’t performing well and stretch your advertising budget further. Let’s take a look at the statistics table on the Keywords tab, where you can see how each of your keywords is performing. Get started by setting the date range in the upper right hand corner to the time period you’d like to analyze. The columns in your table provide a variety of statistics about your account. Sort your data by clicking on the column headers. For example, you might want to sort your keywords by number of clicks. Your column options vary depending on which tab you’re viewing. Click the Columns button and choose “Customize columns” from the drop-down. Choose a category from the list, and then click “Add” next to the columns you’d like to see. Drag and drop them to appear in an order you prefer. Then , if you like, you can save the set of columns by clicking the box. After you click Apply, they’ll appear in your table. You can also make changes right in your table without going to another page. Just click a cell to edit. From there, you can quickly update a keyword if it’s not performing well. Use the checkboxes at the far left of the table to select all the content within a single row, or multiple rows. You can then make changes that will impact all of the rows you’ve selected. For example, you might want to pause a few different keywords at the same time. For a visual representation of your data, click the graph button. Select a metric from the drop-down to display in the graph, or choose two metrics for comparison. For example, if you wanted to gauge the effectiveness of a particular keyword, you could choose to view impressions and clicks at the same time. To hide the graph, just click the same button. You also have the ability to slice and dice your data with filters and segments. Use filters to see only the data that interests you most, such as keyword text, average cost-per-click, or impressions. To get started, click the “Filter” button and choose some conditions. Once you've created a filter, you can save it for easy access in the future. To remove it, just click the X next to the filter in the yellow bar. Use segments to break out your performance data into rows by category. To segment your data, click the Segment button and choose an option from the list. For example, the “Device” segment lets you see how well a keyword performed on mobile devices versus desktop computers and tablets. Once your statistics table looks exactly how you want, you can download your data as a report or email it. Now that you know how to customize your view of the data, sign in to your AdWords account. Then, go ahead and check on your performance to make sure you’re getting the most out of your budget. For more information about reporting and other AdWords features, visit the AdWords Help Center.
