  • Regularly monitoring your AdWords account performance can help you improve results and

  • save time and money.

  • In this video, well show you how to quickly customize your AdWords statistics table to

  • view the performance data that matters most to you.

  • Analyzing your data can help you weed out keywords and ads that aren’t performing

  • well and stretch your advertising budget further. Let’s take a look at the statistics table

  • on the Keywords tab, where you can see how each of your keywords is performing.

  • Get started by setting the date range in the upper right hand corner to the time period

  • you’d like to analyze. The columns in your table provide a variety

  • of statistics about your account.

  • Sort your data by clicking on the column headers. For example, you might want to sort your keywords

  • by number of clicks. Your column options vary depending on which

  • tab youre viewing.

  • Click the Columns button and chooseCustomize columnsfrom the drop-down.

  • Choose a category from the list, and then clickAddnext to the columns you’d

  • like to see. Drag and drop them to appear in an order you prefer. Then , if you like,

  • you can save the set of columns by clicking the box. After you click Apply, theyll

  • appear in your table. You can also make changes right in your table

  • without going to another page.

  • Just click a cell to edit. From there, you can quickly update a keyword if it’s not

  • performing well. Use the checkboxes at the far left of the

  • table to select all the content within a single row, or multiple rows.

  • You can then make changes that will impact all of the rows youve selected.

  • For example, you might want to pause a few different keywords at the same time.

  • For a visual representation of your data, click the graph button.

  • Select a metric from the drop-down to display in the graph, or choose two metrics for comparison.

  • For example, if you wanted to gauge the effectiveness of a particular keyword, you could choose

  • to view impressions and clicks at the same time.

  • To hide the graph, just click the same button. You also have the ability to slice and dice

  • your data with filters and segments. Use filters to see only the data that interests

  • you most, such as keyword text, average cost-per-click, or impressions.

  • To get started, click theFilterbutton and choose some conditions.

  • Once you've created a filter, you can save it for easy access in the future.

  • To remove it, just click the X next to the filter in the yellow bar.

  • Use segments to break out your performance data into rows by category.

  • To segment your data, click the Segment button and choose an option from the list.

  • For example, theDevicesegment lets you see how well a keyword performed on mobile

  • devices versus desktop computers and tablets. Once your statistics table looks exactly how

  • you want, you can download your data as a report or email it.

  • Now that you know how to customize your view of the data, sign in to your AdWords account.

  • Then, go ahead and check on your performance to make sure youre getting the most out

  • of your budget.
