Justin Bieber threw some shade with his new single “Love Yourself” off his upcoming

album, Purpose. He holds nothing back with some intense lyrics

that seem to be directed at a former lover. I admit, when I first heard that the song

was called “Love Yourself” I thought that it was going to be a happy and uplifting piece.

But oh no, I was wrong. Despite the Biebs spilling the tea on the

track, it’s a pretty great song. The Southern Ontarion called into Zane Low’s

Beats Radio to premiere the track. It will be song number 5 off his new album.

It is co-written by Ed Sheeran and features a ballad-like electric guitar in the background.

Then we have the Biebs singly softly over the quiet guitar.

The juxtaposition between the soft music and the lyrics make for an interesting listen.

But who’s the song about? He told Ellen DeGeneres on Ellen that he wrote

3 love songs about Selena Gomez for purpose. So it could be her.

" I think we're both just on our own journeys of figuring ourselves out. Maybe once [we

do that] we can come together and make an awesome duo. Or you know she'll find someone

awesome and I'll find someone awesome. I just want her to be happy, honestly."
