in iOS 9. So apple has recently announced iOS 9 in Beta stage but there is still a lot

going on the back that Apple didn’t announce. So here is the top 20 Hidden features. So

before I start, I just want to say that the features will not be in any particular order.

First, once you open your phone you get a new fresh look with the new San Francisco

font. Apple did not mention this anywhere but this font is everywhere. Even in Apps,

keyboard and anything that has words.

Find my friends and find my iPhone is now preinstalled and unremovable.

iOS 9 allows you to group notifications by either Recent or Manual in the notification

page. Also you can clump them all together by app as well. So now, there can be a lot

of organisation to your notification settings.

When you’re typing in iOS 9, you don’t get a pop up preview. If you miss that from

iOS 8 you can easily bring it back by going into the settings, general keyboard and turn

on show character preview.

In your device if you don’t like the shake to undo feature, you can turn it off in the

accessibility settings.

Also, if you hate the vibration or want to remove the vibration of your phone, you can

turn it off here as well.

Now talking about vibration Siri has learnt it too. When ever you launch Siri it will

vibrate which wasn’t available in iOS 8.

If you have a lot of photos in your photos application this might be something for you.

When ever you preview a photo, you have a new scrubber at the bottom which can help

you find you things easier.

Talking about scrubbers, once you preview a video, now you have a better scrubber at

the bottom as well. It is way easier because now you don’t have to use the small scrubber

on the top which is very hard to use.

When ever you’re taking a video and you fell like you want to put the flash on, now

you can directly turn it on while taking the video at the same time. Previously, you’d

had to stop the video of every time just to turn the flash on but now you don’t have

to do that. Hmm… have we seen this before? Yes this feature was from a jailbreak.

A lot of people may know this or may not but now there is a new wallpaper in iOS 9 which

is the colorful wave.

In iOS 9 the battery settings has changed a lot. Of course there’s the Low power mode

but now, iOS 9 shows what application is using the most battery life on your device? So pretty

cool that you have a more detailed battery settings.

In the clock application, now you have the ability to delete alarms by just swiping to

the left. Now you don’t have to click edit and delete from there.

While setting an alarm, now you have the ability to set if vibrations in the sound settings.

So go to, sound, then vibration and here you can select custom vibration settings.

Inside of the Notes application apple has actually changed a lot of things. Whenever

you hand draw things, there is actually many tools you can use. So there’s the normal

pen. And here’s the marker, pencil, eraser and a ruler which is actually pretty useful.

With this ruler you can draw straight lines and also if you draw the lines quickly, it

would be thin and if you draw it slowly, the line is actually thicker. If you don’t like

the color black, you can also switch between colors by clicking this circle on the right.

Also, when ever you’re in the photo application, now you just have to drag down to close it

without clicking the arrow every time.

In iOS 9 you can actually zoom in into a video that playing. So now you can get more detailed

information from each video.

Siri can now natively do conversions. So now Siri does not go to google and search there,

it does by itself in device.

Something coming soon in iOS 9 is app thinning. For older device, the apps you download from

app store will take a lot shorter just because it doesn’t download any extra things that

they are not compatible of. An example for this is the resolution of the app you’re

downloading. For iPhone 4S you don’t need to download a resolution for iPhone 6 plus.

Now thanks to the new SDK, Apple is finally allowing native screen recording. So now,

you can download iOS screen recorder as third party apps in the app store.
