サイレンスの歓び

One of the things i enjoy most in this life

私が今生で　最も楽しんでいることのひとつは

is hearing you describe the state of enlightenment.

光明を得ているとはどういうことか　あなたが語るのを聞くことです

For those of us who love to listen,

聴くのが大好きな私たちのために

can you once again say something about the unsayable?

今一度その　語りようのないことについて語っていただけませんか

It is true

実に

that there is nothing

光明を得ることより

more beautiful,

美しく

more blissful

至福に満ちたことは

than enlightenment

ない

even the talk of it,

それについて語ることさえ

even the faraway echo,

遥か彼方のこだまでさえ

even the shadow of it.

その影でさえだ

The moon reflected in the water

水に映った月は

is not the real moon,

本物の月ではないが

but still it has tremendous beauty;

それでも　そこにはとてつもない美がある

and if the waters of your mind

もしあなたのマインドという水が

are silent,

静まったなら

then the moon reflected

そこに映りこんだ

in those waters

月にも

is exactly the same.

まったく同じことが言える

It is not your experience,

それはあなたの体験ではないが

but it is someone's experience you love,

あなたの愛する誰かの体験だ

it is someone's experience you trust.

あなたの信頼する誰かの体験だ

And just because you love and you trust,

そしてただ　あなたが愛し信頼するという理由から

you start sharing the experience in a subtle way.

あなたはその体験を　精妙な方法で共有し始める

It is certainly difficult to say anything about it,

although my whole life I have been saying things about it

and only about it.

without any questions

何の問いも

and without any answer either

何の答もなく　在ることだ

simply silent.

ただ静かに　在る

And there is no joy

そしてこの静けさを超える

which can transcend this silence.

歓びはない

It is pure light,

それは純然たる光

it is pure delight.

純然たる歓びだ

I can understand your question.

あなたが聞きたくなるのは良くわかる

Just to hear about it again and again

それについて　何度も何度も聞くことは

is a necessary need,

必要不可欠だ

so you don't

それによって　あなたは

forget

なぜ自分がここにいるのか

why you are here.

忘れずにいられる
