The simplest method

for lovers is, while they are making love

they should make it a

All the religions have destroyed

the sacredness of love.

They have condemned it as sin.

And the conditioning has gone so deep

that people are making love in such a hurry,

they want to finish it as quickly as possible.

Naturally, if it is a sin

it is better finished soon.

早く終わらせた方がいい

Their hearts are guilt-ridden,

彼らのハートは　罪悪感に支配されている

their minds completely full of sin.

彼らのマインドは　罪の意識で一杯だ

If lovers want to make love a meditative experience,

もし恋人たちが　愛を瞑想的な体験にしたいなら

then the first thing is to drop the idea that it is sin,

まず最初に落とすことだ　それが罪だ　

that it is something wrong.

何か間違ったことだという発想を

It is something

それは何か

immensely beautiful,

とてつもなく美しく

a tremendous gift of nature,

自然からの　存在からの

of existence, for which you should not be guilty,

途方もない贈り物だ　それを罪に感じてはいけない

you should be grateful!

ありがたく思うべきだ！

And to show your gratefulness

そして　感謝の気持ちをあらわすのに

you have to make

あなたはそのための

a special place for it.

特別な場所を作らなくてはならない

Every house and every couple which can afford it

家々に　そしてカップルごとに　余裕があるなら

should have a separate room just for love:

愛のためだけの別の部屋を用意するべきだ

no other vibe there --

他の雰囲気はそこにはない

no fight, no argument,

争いや　口論

no throwing of pillows.

枕の投げ合いもない

They should enter the room after taking a bath,

彼らは風呂に入ってから　その部屋に入るべきだ

as if they are going into a temple.

あたかも寺院に入っていくかのように

The room should be full of

その部屋は　美しい

beautiful burning incense;

お香で満たされているべきだ

there should not be glaring lights --

派手な照明はいけない

just candles, dim light.

ただキャンドルや　落とした灯りだけだ

And they should not be in a hurry,

そして　彼らは急いではいけない

because the foreplay is immensely important,

なぜなら　前戯は途方もなく重要だからだ

for the simple reason that the woman's whole body is erotic.

それはなぜなら　女性の身体全体がエロティックだからだ

Man's whole body is not erotic;

男の身体全体は　エロティックではない

his sexuality is local,

彼のセクシャリティは局所的だ

just

ただ

limited to his genitalia.

性器に限られる

But the woman's whole body is erotic,

しかし女性は　身体全体がエロティックだ

and unless her whole body starts

そして　彼女の身体全体が

throbbing

悦びとエクスタシーに

with joy, with ecstasy,

震え始めない限り

she will not have any orgasmic experience.

If the man plays enough with the woman's body,

the woman plays enough with the man's body...

and the meditation technique is:

while you are playing with each other's body,

お互いの身体と戯れているときに

remain a witness,

目撃者で留まりなさい

don't get identified.

同一化してはいけない

So there are four persons, not two:

だから　そこには４人がいることになる　２人ではない

the woman and the witness inside,

女と　その内側の目撃者

the man and the witness inside.

男と　その内側の目撃者だ

The witness is simply watching what the man is doing to the woman,

目撃とは　単に見ることだ　男が女にしていることを

what the woman is doing to the man.

女が男にしていることを

The witness has no

目撃には何の

judgment of good and bad; it is simply like a mirror,

善悪の判断もない　それはただの鏡のようなものだ

showing what is happening.

起きていることを映し出す

This witnessing is nothing but awareness,

この目撃は　気づきに他ならない

alertness, consciousness.

油断なさ　意識に他ならない

And particularly in the foreplay,

そして特に　前戯においては

if you are conscious, alert,

もしあなたが　意識的で油断なくいたら

then there is a possibility

そこには可能性がある

you both will know the exact time

あなた方２人ともが　今がそのときだと

when your bodies are ready to make love.

あなた方の身体が　愛を交わす準備が出来たとわかる可能性が

You will feel the bio-electricity of each other's body.

あなた方にはお互いの　生体電気が感じられる

When you start making love, don't be in a hurry.

愛を交わし始めたとき　急いではいけない

Let the woman be always on top.

いつも女性を上にさせなさい

The missionary posture

正常位は

is the worst posture in the whole world.

世界中で最悪の体位だ

In the East

東洋では

nobody knew before the Christians reached there

キリスト教徒がやってくるまで誰も知らなかった

that the man can be on top of the woman.

男性が女性の上にのれるとは

It is so brutal,

それはあまりに荒々しく

it is so ugly.

醜い

The woman is delicate,

女性はデリケートだ

and a huge

そして巨大な

animal

動物が

is doing pushups over the poor woman!

哀れな女性の上で腕立て伏せをしている！

In India it is called the missionary posture,

インドではそれは　宣教師の体位として知られる

because it became known only when missionaries came to India.

なぜなら　インドに宣教師がやってきてはじめて知られたからだ

They made India aware that this too is possible;

彼らはインドに　それもまた可能なのだと気づかせた

otherwise, the woman is always to be on top.

さもなければ　女性はいつも上にのる

And scientifically

そして科学的に

it is right that the woman should be on top,

それは正しい　女性は上になるべきだ

because then she can be more active

というのも　そうすれば彼女は　もっと動ける

and the man can be less active.

そして　男は動きが少なくなる

If the man is on top, the woman cannot be more active,

もし男が上にのると　女は動きにくくなる

the man is more active.

男がもっと動くことになる

If he is more active, he comes to his ejaculation very soon,

もし男がもっと動くと　すぐに射精が起きてしまう

and the woman

そして女は

has not yet come to the point where she can have an orgasm.

まだ　オーガズムを得られるところまで達していない

If the woman is on top and she is active,

もし女が上にのれば　彼女は動けて

and the man remains inactive,

男は　動かずに留まる

there is every possibility

そこにはあらゆる可能性がある

that by the time the woman

女がオーガズムを

comes to orgasm

得るところまでに達すると

the man will be coming to orgasm.

男はオーガズムに達するだろう

And if both come to orgasm at the same time,

then there is a tremendous meeting and merging,

as if bodies disappear

and two souls are no longer two souls,

two beings are no longer two beings.

And the witnessing continues.

That is your inner work of meditation that goes on:

それが　あなたの内側で続く瞑想のワークだ

you are witnessing.

あなたは目撃している

After

あなたの

your orgasm has settled,

オーガズムが収まり

slowly slowly disappearing, watch it.

ゆっくりと　消えていく　それを見なさい

Watch as it is coming up,

それがやってくるのを見て

watch as it explodes,

それが爆発するのを見て

watch as it starts settling back again

それが再び　普段の

to the normal

身体の状態に

state of your bodies.

戻っていくのを見なさい

Then don't be in a hurry to separate from each other;

そして　お互いから離れるのを急いではいけない

remain together for awhile.

しばらく　一緒にいなさい

In tantra that is called valley orgasm.

タントラでは　それは谷間のオーガズムと呼ばれる

That is not known to millions of people.

あまり多くの人には知られていないことだ

The first orgasm was peak orgasm.

最初のオーガズムは　頂上のオーガズムだ

You had met together

あなた方は出会った

on a peak of your energy,

あなた方のエネルギーの頂点で

now the peak has disappeared.

今や　その頂点は消えうせた

But every peak has a valley by its side;

しかし　頂上の両脇には必ず谷間がある

without a valley there can be no peak.

谷間なくては　頂上は存在しえない

So if you can remain silently watching

だから　もしあなた方が共に　静かに

together,

見守り続けることができたら

you will be amazed:

驚くだろう

there is another orgasm with a totally different beauty,

まったく異なる美しさを持つ　もうひとつのオーガズムがある

a different depth,

異なる深さ

a different joy --

異なる悦び

the valley orgasm.

谷間のオーガズムだ

Until the valley orgasm disappears and you come back again to normal,

谷間のオーガズムが消えて　通常に戻るまでは

don't separate.

離れてはいけない

Meanwhile, all the time the witnessing continues.

しばらく　ずっと目撃を続ける

When you separate,

離れたら

don't just

すぐに

start going to sleep.

眠りについてはいけない

Something very essential is still there,

とても本質的なことが　まだある

and that is the afterplay.

それは　後戯だ

You have made such

あなた方はお互いの

a turmoil in the whole energy of each other's

身体やマインドの　エネルギー全体に

bodies, minds,

たいそうな騒乱を起こした

that it is needed. You massage each other's body,

だからそれは必要だ　お互いの身体をマッサージし合いなさい

play with each other's body,

お互いの身体と戯れなさい

and have beautiful incense, flowers, candlelight, music...

そして美しいお香　花　キャンドル　音楽…

if you feel like dancing, you dance.

もし踊りたくなったら　踊りなさい

But the witnessing continues.

しかし　目撃は続く

Why am I insisting that witnessing continues?

なぜ　目撃が続くようにと私は強調するのか？

I am emphasizing it because if you do it many times,

なぜならば　もしあなたがそれを何度も行えば

then one day you can try just witnessing,

ある日　あなたは　ただ目撃だけを試すことができる

without your man, without your woman -- alone.

あなたの男や　あなたの女なしで　独りでだ

In the same room,

同じ部屋で

in the same atmosphere,

同じ雰囲気で

with the same incense

同じお香で

which creates the same memories;

それは　同じ記憶を引き起こす

the same light,

同じ灯り

the same milieu,

同じ環境

you start simply witnessing, sitting there.

あなたはただ目撃を始める　そこに座って

And you are in for a great surprise.

すると　あなたは驚くだろう

All that has been happening with the woman

その女性と一緒の時に起きたことがすべて

starts happening

起こり始める

just inside you,

ただあなたの内側で

without the woman or without the man.

その女やその男なしで

You start moving slowly to the peak orgasm --

あなたはゆっくりと　頂上のオーガズムへと動き始める

the same experience

同じ体験だが

with no physical, no biological expression --

肉体的　生物学的な表現は伴わない

and you reach to the valley orgasm,

そしてあなたは　谷間のオーガズムに達する

the same experience.

同じ体験だ

You have learned meditation through love,

あなたは　愛を通して瞑想を学んだ

and you have also learned

そしてあなたは　また

love through meditation;

瞑想を通して　愛を学んだ

they will go on enriching each other.

それらは　互いに育みあう

This will bring maturity

これは両者に

to both the persons,

成熟をもたらすだろう

and the maturity will release

そしてその成熟は

their repressed intelligence,

彼らの抑圧されていた知性を

awareness,

気づきを

lovingness, compassion.

愛情を　慈悲を解放するだろう

And it will destroy jealousy, anger, hatred.

そしてそれは　嫉妬や怒り　憎しみを破壊するだろう

It will bring tremendous changes in you.

それはあなたに　途方もない変化をもたらすだろう

Those changes will be the proof

そうした変化が　あなたが

that you are on the right track.

正しい道にあるという証になる
