The aim of my videos is to share my experience of studying English.
Today I'm going to talk about How to Pronounce '-ed' in English.
Now as you know The past simple tense & past participle of all regular verbs end in "ed".
For example
In addition, many adjectives are made from the past participle and so end in "ed"
You may have noticed that in English, words with an -ed ending are pronounced in one of the following three ways
How you pronounce depends on the final sound of the verb in the infinitive form.
Here are the rules:
Verbs ending in the sounds [t] or [d]
Verbs ending in the sounds [t] or [d] will cause the "-ed" ending of a verb to be pronounced as the syllable [ɪd]

Be careful! It's the sound that is important, not the letter or spelling.
For example: "decide" ends in the letter "e" but the last sound /d/.
